Bought v665 yesterday at A&L Puchong for RM2.3k.
They can offer better discount with speaker package.

I have never used Onkyo and Denon before other than audition, so I can't say Yammy is better but so far I like it other than I hope it has 2 HDMI out instead of 1 for the moment...  Using HDMI splitter has more wire and sometime does not work the way I want....

Added on June 24, 2009, 10:00 amI'm using mix of Yamaha (Front and Surrond), JBL (Front), Heco (Center), Cerwin Vega (sub) and cap ayam (rear center)... Will do the upgrade on speakers when budget is allowed....

If you have a 6ohm speakers, u need to set your amp to run at 6ohm and not 8ohm. The manual has stated it. If runs 4ohm, it is not advisable as it wld damage the avr.

What spkrs that you are using?

What is so surprising about that? For most AVRs the power that is advertised (e.g. 130W, 140W, etc) is at 2 channels driven. The more channels you drive the lower the watts. That's why it's important to read reviews with measurements for at least 5 channels driven because for HT, people will use 5 channels minimum.

However, for the 3900 it seems to fall quite far short of the rated power (140W). At 5 channels @ 1% it is 58.2% of rated power (81.5/140).
Compare to Onkyo 806, at 5 channels @ 1% it is 94.9% of rated power (123.4/130).
