Upgrade your Amp(RX-V450)..? Can the HT shop take trade-in when you buy your new Amp like RX-V663 or RX-V665?
If can how much they take it...how much the price different?

Just wanted to know...can all HT shop take trade-in Amp...I'm using basic/entry level Amp only (RX-V361), but think to upgrade to
model like RX-V663 or maybe RX-V665.

regarding yamaha business model, i think its no big different from 663, especially sql.

the benefits only minor changes, like extra hdmi input & upscale to 1080p (finally)

Guys,
I had a 1800 for over a year I guess or maybe less. I only used YPAO to setup, I'm just wondering.

Why does the crossover always stays at 200hz.
Why does the speaker size always sets at Large.

How do you guys equalize the speakers? Natural/Flat/Front?
What else am I missing out here. I would like to see what I can change and perhaps sound better.

I've been using my 1800 just pure direct for music for the past couple of months.

Help is much appreciated.

Mine aint this case. It was set at abt 100Hz. However, I fine tune it with my RadioShack SPL analog meter.

the default crossover depends on the speakers used is it?
perhaps yours are far superior than what i have and could have.

Any tips that I should look into? I'm going to re-run the setup once more.
BTW Pure Direct will neglect all settings made? even the crossover?

Harsh is the word, but after running non-bi-wired and a copperhead it sounded a little better.
I would set up another hiFI set in the other room, but for now will have to make do with current avail and resources.
My neighbor had an ARCAM amp and he wanted to give it to me, I looked at it as it didn't match my setup. So i declined, now kind of regretting. the amp was from 90's, together with a pair of ARCAM speakers which looked pretty run downed.
