Mine aint this case. It was set at abt 100Hz. However, I fine tune it with my RadioShack SPL analog meter.
the default crossover depends on the speakers used is it?
perhaps yours are far superior than what i have and could have.
Any tips that I should look into? I'm going to re-run the setup once more.
BTW Pure Direct will neglect all settings made? even the crossover?

ouch, i tried my 1800 in pure direct for stereo, the sound still Rough.
i prefer buying another cheap stereo amplifier like Cambridge Audio
give it a try, and you wont using your 1800 again for stereo

Harsh is the word, but after running non-bi-wired and a copperhead it sounded a little better.
I would set up another hiFI set in the other room, but for now will have to make do with current avail and resources.
My neighbor had an ARCAM amp and he wanted to give it to me, I looked at it as it didn't match my setup. So i declined, now kind of regretting. the amp was from 90's, together with a pair of ARCAM speakers which looked pretty run downed.
