wow any budget. then you might as well go get the Dell Latitude E4200. it weights about 1.3kg with 6 cell (the starting weight is 1.0kg with 4 cell).
the lightest magnesium alloy notebook that i've heard about. lighter than most netbooks that has 10" screen.

costs about RM10k give or take.

Guys, I'm not so good in computer thingies so I seriously need your help!

I'm buying a lappy, budget below 3.5k,
98% for surfing net, 2% for gaming,
HP brand lappy.
Perhaps 13"-15"?

and for the specs, I don't know how to choose.. So sorry sweat.gif but 2GB RAM is enough

help me guys! notworthy.gif

Go for Dell Studio, it a newer model compared to XPS and it is cheaper than XPS too. Peformance wise, Studio will suit your needs with its P8600 processor and 3gb ram, Hd4570 is a GC that can cater your gaming needs.

Yeah.... but is it just me that thinks the laptop physical design looks crappy. It feels cheap also if you have touch and handle it personally. XPS looks better and have a more sleek design. But as the saying goes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

that makes the two of us. i have that same feeling too.. tongue.gif
the design are somewhat too flared/fancy for my liking. won't really look good if you have to show something in a meeting. biggrin.gif
XPS looks somewhat more professional without being too flared in their design.

and how much the vaio costs?

for any budget, but cheaper than 10k, there's the Latitude E4300. 13" weighing about 1.8kg with 6 cell battery. about 1.5kg with 3 cell battery.
costs about RM7k

just want to share that Dell got Inspiron 14 which has really great specs for a great price. Only Rm1999 and can get Core2Duo T6400 (2.0GHZ).
If u do not play games that need intense graphics (especially college girls) then go for it. Its Core2Duo and 2GB ram. Weight is 2.11kg.

About the design I am not sure if it is nice as I have not seen the real thing.
