Hey guys,

I'm looking for a laptop that's good for heavy usage of Photoshop, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Flash, playing some games (nothing too heavy), watching movies and some video editing. My budget is rm6-7k.

I was reading up and have narrowed my choices to dell studio xps 16, hp hdx 16t, hp hdx 18t or hp dv7. What do you guys think? Any better suggestion? Not too keen on acer or benq... Thanks in advance!

Both dell and toshiba notebooks are pricy.

I would rather get a sager or the new MSI notebook. Much cheaper but you dont have customer support for sager but i believe MSI warranty is global so even if you bought from another country, you could technically still claim warranty.

Plus the new ATI 4850 mobile is just as good if not abit better then the 9800GTS plus the MSI would be way cheaper at around rm 5k. Hard to beat that at price point, even gateways new FX series cant match for price.

Hello guys!

I'm looking for a new laptop. Please recommend me a good laptop which is within my budget and usage.

1. Brand : HP/Compaq, Toshiba, Lenovo (which provide international warranty? Buying for my brother in oversea)
2. Budget : RM2400-RM2600
3. Spec : Office work, internet surfing and entertainment (movies and light gaming such as Football Manager and PES).
4. Size : Not too small or too big. 15" perhaps?

Thank you! smile.gif

brand : any
budget : 4 - 5k
spec : able to do 2D autoCAD work, watch HD movies, play some light game, solid chasis (no cheap thin plastic that cause hinge cracks)
size : 13", as light as possible.

will use as a portable desktop, when at home will be plugged into a 19" (for now) lcd monitor.

basically looking for something that is better than macbook @ ~macbook price (or cheaper, since macbooks are stereotyped to be freaking overpriced)
