I need some recommendation ...

- budget around 6.3k
- exclude brand like Acer, Compaq and HP
- must have good graphics, most important specs lol
- size not too big, preferably 11-13 inches, maximum 14 inch
- good after sales service?  blink.gif
- hopefully light and easy to travel

hmm .... i dun wanna spend my money wrongly  sad.gif
*
powerful graphic card and mobility do not go hand in hand...

pls decide which is more important for u...

examples are 17" with 8800M GTX SLI, 15.4" with 8600M GT, 14" with HD3650, 13" with 8400M GS...

4. Size. Less than 2kg

juz this pt is enough to restrict ur choice to 13" and below, and usually these laptops do not have decent graphic card to run games smoothly....

erm, okay, what if around 2.4kg ? i saw acer 4530. its just a LITTLE bit weighty, and the price about 2k. since my budget can afford more i'm thinking a lil better specs, and if possible less weighty.

currently using acer 5040, 3kg, sprained my shoulder muscle lol
*
currently Asus' F8 with HD3650 looks like wat u re looking for then, 14" monitor and weights abt 2.4kg...

the upcoming BenQ S42 with 9600M GT is also a nice choice, 14" as well, weights 2.35kg

QUOTE(lennnostra @ Aug 22 2008, 06:40 PM)
1) May i know wat is the difference between P8400 and Txxx mobile processors?

2) are the specs (ghz fsb etc) directly compareable?

3) anywhere can view the compaq presario CQ20-126TU ?
*
Core 2 Duo Pxxxx - max TDP 29W
Core 2 Duo Txxxx - max TDP 39W

in another word, the P family of CPU consumes less power

as for other specs, it depends on the 4 numbers

9000 family has 6MB L2 cache, while 8000 family has 3MB L2 cache, other than that their FSB and Socket are the same...

2 interesting examples are P9500 and T9400, besides the power consumption, they have the exact same spec...

wow thanks bro for the explaination. currently comparing CQ20-126TU with C2D P8400 and compaq B1286 with T5750.. price is diffrence is around rm200. So it will be better if i get the CQ20 126TU right?  any comments on it? or any other suggestion?
*
P8400 has faster clock speed, FSB, larger cache and runs cooler...

so i believe the extra $$ will be well spent

i just need help on which model of the EeePCs are good. Ya i know the EeePC is the smallest around. Also,i need the price guide for all of em' so i can decide which, coz judging from the specs and the price, easier to decide.

i myself recommend either 901 or 1000H...

both use Atom N270, 1GB RAM, GMA 950...

901 comes with 8.9" LCD and 12GB SSD, while 1000H comes with 10" LCD and 80GB HDD

or MSI Wind, similar spec to EEE PC 1000H

Acer Aspire One, 8.9" but 80GB HDD

I'm looking for a laptop.

Brand:Fujitsu will be the first preference

Budget:4000-5000

Spec:4GB RAM
        Vista Ultimate
        Touch Screen
        Webcam integrated
        250 GB HDD
12 inches will be pretty good.

Lastly,I want the battery to last long.

By the way,I would like to ask.
AMD Turion better or Intel Core2 Duo better?
*
not sure abt Fujitsu laptops, but...

go for Core 2 Duo if u ve a choice, it's performance is better and consumes less power...
