base on your experience, which is the best among compaq cq40-126au and compaq cq40-133ax?
ATI HD3200 vs ATI HD 3450? how about games? can it play crysis?(i dont mind in low resolution, but smooth) the hp laptop usually comes with recovery partition(which i hated it), if i buy the freedos, there is no recovery partition rite? i want to make a clean format, total space of hard disk would be mine, and make it dual-boot. if i increase the budget up to RM2.5K, what do u recommend? |

No it cannot play Crysis. Head over to the CQ40-125/26/33/34 thread for more info. Lots of info in there, I suggest you read through.

wanna buy a laptop for sleek design. buy for gf.
1. Brand - i saw XPS and considering it now. Well any brand u recommend will do but not VAIO 2. Budget - around RM4000 3. Specs - gal like design and she loves programming a lot. so i advised her with M1330 with small and portable capabilities. small because easier for her to carry it along everyday. 4. Size - any but when i propose 13inch on M1330 she said larger better. Will i will finalize all when i get any idea from you guys here. BTW 1. can i get any ideas on the graphics in between XPS M1330 and M1530? 2. shall i wait for XPS Studio? XPS studio also a performance lappy? Thanks in advance. Look forward for any of sifus reply. |

1. Brand :: Any as long as its reliable and easy to obtain drivers.
2. Budget :: Nothing more than 4-5K 3. Specs :: Lots of RAM. Something long term, plan to use primarily for lots of virtualization, testing, messing around with software, downloading, light gaming (eg: DoTA, Unreal Tournament 2004, nothing super recent) 4. Size :: As light as possible. I move around alot. I would greatly appreciate if someone could kindly provide some valuable advice for me. I am stuck in that, I am not sure if I should just wait for the new Intel processors or buy one now.. Any advice would help me out tremendously. Thanks again |

guys...in my place...there's not many computer shop...and all the shop here is selling the laptop with double price...say for instant laptop brand HP...price in internet is RM2099...but they sell it RM2999...they said got free printer & add rm100 to get 3 in 1 printer...
so i plan to purchase it at HP online store/any computer shop that can do online transaction...but if i buy it online...is it secure? i mean i'm afraid once arrive...its broken...or it was MIA during the shipment to my place... any suggestion where to buy online instead of HP store? i plan to get compaq cq40-133ax (which of course at my place selling it RM2999) |

Brand : dell, compaq
Budget : not more than RM3k. RM2k ++ Size : umm...not sure bout dimensions, preferably light enough to bring around. college, wifi spots, etc Spec : no lagging problems (use photoshop quite a bit), core 2 duo processor, longer batt life, less problematic, dvd burner, wifi, bluetooth, whatever else (i'm not good with specs) oh and what's this i'm hearing about NVIDIA issue? please explain (: open to any brands. can you guys list a few laptops? i'll check out the sites myself. just need some rough ideas. benq and asus i've been hearing about it, but not so much confidence in those brands. HP and lenovo has some good laptops i heard, but they're out of my budget right? This post has been edited by rhapsodie: Dec 28 2008, 04:48 PM |
