PS3 is very picky since it is SONY product. You should check whether your HDMI support 1080p & PS3 compatible. You can’t use using cheap HDMI since mostly PS3 won’t accept it. The most compatible should be theirs HDMI cable. It's a SONY.

Sometime your HDMI port could be a problem too. My friend just bought PS3 & got HDMI port problem & send it out for warranty.

I've tested many types of HDMI cable from RM50 to RM150 and everything working fine...

Yes you can. But please save up some money to get yourself a decent monitor to play as that's the way the 360 games are meant for smile.gif

I think we already discuss this on Playstation section, or in another forum? Whatever. I’m too lazy to digging it back. yawn.gif

Then you got lucky because had well compatible one or you really look at the box which display PS3 compatible largely like mine.

Sure can, but your eyes will bleed to reading subtitle afterward. shocking.gif

Instead you all have time to corrected me (before someone corrected you back), how about helping that guy. That’s a better thing to do. icon_question.gif

Oh laugh.gif

I'm pretty sure we never had such discussion before cause you haven't posted anything in PS section before laugh.gif

But anyway, those who actually own a PS3 can tell you that even the RM20 Carefour HDMI cable works just fine nod.gif

Don't believe the marketing hype, that those super expensive gold plater, built in with diamond,,etc HDMI cable is better than cheap HDMI cable.

Gold plated HDMI is relevant only if you got long HDMI cable. 1-2 meter can just use regular one.

You could just use PC monitor if you cannot afford HDTV now. Even CRT PC Monitor cap ayam with max 1024*768 can do it. It display 10 times better than CRT-TV & can produce cheap HD resolution at least around 720p. However, you should first buy VGA cable Xbox 360. It is around RM50 for 3rd party brand.

We excluding mine since I'm anonymous on other section. Actually I'm already here long lurking around just don't wanna register until recently since here we have too many smart people. There is a reason I don't post around Playstation section or even Nintendo although I own it. We have too many sensitive ppl especially about Playstation. Don't worry. I'll be gone before you don't even realize it. thumbup.gif

nowadays many HDMI are also gold plated lar, and i dont even bother it is gold plated or not, maybe you should try other cable

i'm not using sony HDMI cable for my PS3 too, i'm using LG HDMI cable that cost me RM99 (the only choice near my place), and connect my Sony Playstation 3 to Samsung 32" full HD LCD TV, it seems like i got a rojak brand around my house, but all working fine

if you let me choose between RM30 HDMI cable and RM99 HDMI cable, i'll definitely take the cheap one.

Hello, may I know which model is better? For movie and gaming 50/50
- Sharp LC37A66M, Full HD
- Panasonic TH-L37X15K, 100Hz

I was actually aiming Sharp LCD TV but just now i found this Panasonic X15K at Giant, putting side by side with another Pana old model Full HD but i couldn't tell the difference in term of resolution, in fact the picture quality is better.

Btw, what is the refresh rate of LC37A66M?

Thanks.

Probably 60Hz since it seem do not have fine motion advance for 100Hz & 120Hz.

Not sure which one is better. Sharp has higher contrast ratio while Panny has 100hz. However I'll probably go for higher contrast ratio & Sharp is more renowned on LCD than Panny.

Panny Features:
# Full High Definition
# Wide Viewing Angle with IPS Alpha Panel
# 20,000 : 1 Contrast Ratio With Intelligent Scene Controller
# 100Hz Motion Picture Pro
# Motion Focus Technology
# 24p smooth film
# x.v.colour
# Fine black Panel

Sharp Features:
# Full HD ASV LCD panel from Sharp Kameyama Japan LCD Plant
# 1080/24p signal input for theatre-like quality
# Dynamic Contrast Ratio 50,000:'1
# Ecological Features- Advanced Optical Picture Control & Power Management
# Elegant Black Piano Finish Design
# AQUOS-Link function enables integrated operation among other AQUOS Link enabled product
# 3 HDMI Terminals
# Swivel stand display

It's using Japan Made LCD Panel & their own. Not from BS Thailand vendor or whatsoever since they own big Factory at Japan.
