RM4k for a proper japanese brands... but you should wait for someone who will recommend you korean brands

Korean has problems i heard .. in any case which 1 would be best for gaming ? im looking at either sharp , sony or LG perhaps ?...

Sony = Korean panels.
LG = Korean brand.


Theres no best. You should go test each of the ones you have your eyes on with your PS3.
What your eyes tells you, is the best.

1 problem bro i really dont wanna move my ps3 from its place lol... if got 1 scratch i will die of a heart attack ... thats why i wanna ask people based on their opinion . as long as the quality good im fine with it ..

I think the best durability & reliability LCD is Japan made LCD panel which is using by Sharp & Panasonic. However to get best display/spec with cheap price, Korean/Seremban made LCD panel is the one which is using on most LCD TV maker like Samsung, LG or Sony.

Currently Using Full-HD Sharp Aquos 46” LCD TV with 60Hz frame rates. Recently there is LED HDTV also. What do you guys think? Does it improve graphic on gaming when comparing to LCD & Plasma? Also did 200MHz/100MHz HDTV have any graphic improvement on current new-gen console since I don’t think Xbox 360 & PS3 supported it yet? I used to think 120MHz & above only for 3d gaming using 3D binocular only at this moment.

OLED tv is too expensive right now.....picture looks better than plasma tv

Oh, luckily i bought Sharp for myself and for the hall is Panasonic...relieved that i made the correct choice that i won't regret

for the moment now i think Panasonic brings best plasma tv and with their price lowered. very very value+quality

Panasonic is more known on plasma HDTV with Viera model than LCD HDTV with usually start with TX model. However their LCD is using Sharp panel LCD so it is Japan made LCD panel which is more reliable.

Korean made LCD panel usually from Samsung & factory located at Seremban if not mistaken. Their LCD panel usually has higher spec from Japan made LCD panel but with same or lower price.

So I can say;
Korean/Seremban made LCD panel: Better visual & technology.
Japan made LCD panel: Better reliability & durability.

For me Plasma is for HD movie while LCD is for HD gaming whether PS3 or Xbox 360. LCD usually has better resolution than plasma, while plasma has soft display. Plasma is very beautiful while viewing in distance but when near it you’ll notice some disadvantage. Since most gamers will sit near HDTV & more focus to graphical surrounding on screen while playing game, I will suggest for LCD.

Why don’t just saying we’ll don’t see Samsung LED TV on action do we? I’m talking about general LCD vs. Plasma especially on Panasonic & I’m also Pioneer HDTV fan but the price always make me think twice. We might have some plasma better than LCD TV & there is also good LCD TV can match plasma on HD video, but I’m talking about general. Plasma always have high amazingly contrast ratio while Korean LCD panel usually can try matching them up on other area.

In my opinion still LCD is better for gaming & plasma for HD movie regardless HD-DVD, blu-ray or digital download/stream. LCD had sharp display for tense viewing while plasma had soft display for pleasure viewing. For more clear picture just go to any electronics store & make comparison. Probably your eyes are different than mine so you won’t regret later. If you notice, there is always default setting for LCD TV on most game menu rather than plasma. M$ & SONY also would prefer LCD while make their game/console presentation.

Sharp is better known on it LCD. Aquos is their LCD HDTV brand. If you are buying for reliability & durability it was a good deal. However, I’m not saying Aquos will have best display. I have Sharp Aquos 46” Full HD with 10 000 contrast ratio & Toshiba REGZA 32” HD Ready with 10 000 contrast ratio. All I can say is my Toshiba REGZA always had better & brighter display than my Sharp Aquos. Since my Aquos is Full HD, I’m still using it for gaming. Toshiba REGZA is also using Korean/Seremban made LCD panel.
