Go explore! Walk down Swanston Street to the city or hop on a tram(make sure you have a Metcard) Go to Melb Central, get some krispy kremes.... biggrin.gif

Or, you could go explore Melbourne Uni (not recommended as you *might* get lost without a guide)

But, it ain't hard to get lost in Melbourne City as everything is in square, rectangular boxes. Most of the roads are parallel.

well. brows.gif brows.gif i've already check the uni. quite nice enviroment. and very big campus. i havent really checked the whole city. too big blush.gif but i have 2 weeks to do it..so lepak la~~

You have the semester, no worries. Take some pictures of your uni and show us a bit of Melbourne while you're at it.

So, I'm pretty much the only girl from the forum huh? O-week will be heaps fun, with freebies, gigs and games! When is your faculty welcoming day?

i just arrive at melbourne just 2 days ago and i'm already missing home  cry.gif  cry.gif
i feel so lonely here and there's really nothing to do here in australia..any recommendations??? brows.gif  brows.gif

and when is trinity students coming over from malaysia?
*
Thats how I felt too when I was there all by myself in 2002. But I attended classes, established a routine and made friends along the way. After that, begone homesickness.

Take a walk around Melbourne city, keep yourself occupied with Uni preparations at least this will reduce the amount of thoughts that you have on home.

Don't worry mate, I was all alone when I went to Sydney last year too, you will get to know more friends soon. AFAIK, chris, pangping, blaxed and myself are the very few in UNSW here in LYN(I'm talking about the returning students), of course the list will now expand with you and kamagotchi joining in.

I read something about getting another unipass from IT Desk, I guess it won't be the same with the password we login to enrol in myUNSW. Then, we can access our unimail. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, you have to drop by IT Desk during o-week to get your unipass done. That would be the universal password for your myUNSW, unimail etc.
