I thinks their new home is too hot , still working on the shading area and small FGT pond , hopefully they can adapt to the new environment and start mating again..

by the way bro, those netting above your impressa enclosure looks tad too low. those black netting literally absorbs heat from sunlight, and when put on that low could raise temperatures around the torts instead of lowering them.

(try touching the net during midday. and try to opt for unglazed pots for hideout)

res can and will eat under, above or out of water. water just makes swallowing easier.

Being a while I go window shopping in KK so not sure who is still offering them !! But most if not all offered came from your side ( KL , Pen ) so why wanna see ?? Price is definitaly higher with not that much variaty !!

If Bird wise ( Indon's sp especially ) Sabah will be much cheaper !! ie young weaned lesser/ medium Sulfur crested cockatoo for less than RM 500 a pc !!

Sabah has only one specie of tortoise - Asian / Burmese brown tortoise @ M.emys emys You wont see them that easily in local Tamu !!!

hello..i always travel back n forth from kl to kedah by bus..so how am i gonna keep my star tort warm during d journey? d condition in d bus is always ice cold n d journey will normally take bout 4-5 hours........

ever heard of hot pack? wrap those with some layers of cloth and put it in box alongside your star. 1 pack should warm the creature for a couple of hours.

you could also hug your star all the way inside your jacket laugh.gif

either way, they'd pee and defecate.. so don't expect to woo that hot chick sitting beside you.

hai, i always do like that too. from kedah to kl, kl to kedah.
i think its ok for them to hibernating for awhile.
so relax, they wont die.


Added on September 28, 2008, 12:01 pmand what miss camillenoir suggest is better idea. i think you can find the pack in pet show, but in kl only lah. kedha where got sell these 'canggih canggih stuff'. =)

actually, those hot packs are intended to treat rheumatism/muscle spasm. hmm.. i don't think any petshops sell them.
