what you mean "I just it in the cage?". Initially you will not find any problems. But as soon as they reach maturity, you might get fights breaking out between them. But there are chances that you get 2 females getting along fine. That is rare cases and provided given enough space for each one to claim as territory. Else, the best thing to do is to spay both when they mature at around 6 months.

Mypetisabunny, sorry for your lost. Don't be so sad.
How is your mat lopie?? fatter and chubby??

I have 1 can of the milk powder, my friend gave to me last week. I am not using it. If you need it, just let me know. FOC.

Thanks for your comment. Is hard to determine whether the rabbit is the best or not frm out look. I only can provide 2 weeks health guarantee. I wish all the bunny have great owner.

If they have not been living in the same cage together since young there's a chance they may fight really bad and you might have to get a second cage.

My two rabbits (both females) have been living together since birth but as they grew up they started fighting until one day the more aggressive one bit the more timid bunny until got bleeding... about the size of 2 50-sen coins. they started fighting and biting each other here and there a little bit but it was usually under control. i'd wanted to get a second cage but dallied in getting it cos they were mostly ok. mana tau... suddenly one day i woke up and saw my poor bunny bleeding and in pain and i was stunned. she recovered fine but that morning itself i went out and got a second cage immediately already.

had to apply a cream on the wound until it healed and feed my bunny some antibiotics, man i tell you the feeding the medicine was the hardest part. at first my vet gave me tablets, my rabbit refused to eat it. i stuff it into a carrot, she spit it out. then got the liquid based antibiotic, had to force it down her throat, otherwise she spit it also. thank goodness after 1 week she recovered fine. i never put them together after that (not even play together in the garden), but after a few years as they got older they got along fine and became good friends. now they sleep with each other also don't fight anymore.

So... beware. Bonding can take a short while... or a few years in my case.

All the best smile.gif

And get the second cage!

just wondering, is it a must to have a nesting box for the mom?

oh i saw this rabbit food (sun seed) in ikano pets wonderland that has high fibre content (about 26-28% if i'm not mistaken), would that be okay too since no oxbow in malaysia yet tongue.gif
also i saw this cheaper version of pellet (bengy locally made) in petsmore that said FOR BREEDER which also happens to have high fibre content and selling at a quite cheap price.

also, i saw petsmore selling a very cute tricolor lop ear rabbit for rm120, i asked them what lop, they not sure but they said one of their vet said it was french lop. anyone know how to tell the difference between a french lop and a holland lop? *confused*

if female with female, mean same sex pair, there is no problems regarding breeding or unwanted child later..
but as sangterap said, when their reach their sexual matured age, fighting may occurs..
i think the risk of fighting will be more if we by both of them saperately..
some of our friend experienced keeping same sex pair-female with female- said that even a pair that live in same cage since they were kits, may or will fight each other when reach the matured age. solution to this problem, spayed the bunnies.some of our frend here said, they will stop fight after spayed.

you also can bond them, but must be done with true step by step, very careful to avoid any fight.you can search in internet for bonding technics or step.

i experienced bonding two of my female bunnies, one of my fisrt rabbits with the younger female. it seems to be success when i did what sangterap said, when i give them large spaces. i put them in a hand made cage i got from my frend, that used to keep five to eaight chicken..however, rarely small quarrel will still occur during feeding time..

@abang brother, you may put them together but you need to spay them once they reach maturity... doesn't matter both male or female, if you want peace in the same cage, you need to consider neutering...

@LeonTan, keeping a rabbit is not very hard if you have done your reading first before buying it... have a look at the first page where there is a Introduction section to give you an idea of a house rabbit and also just below is there is a section that guide what you need to get for your rabbit... if you read further there are few links which contains tons of information that I also haven't gone through all... but it could be your source of information... bookmark it for future reference...

@bebee, cleaning is not that hard if your rabbit is properly toilet trained...

Then you can take your time and consider thoroughly... I'm not sure about Sugar Glider but I can roughly tell something about rabbit... They can live up to 8 - 12 yrs if taken care properly... they shed couple of times in a year, one of which will be a major shed... they are delicate small animals, anything that shock them too much will lead to death such as predator or temperature (too hot or too cold)... need some time outside cage to exercise... maintenance could be high for certain people... etc...

bascially you can find more in those link smile.gif

I think sugar glider is kind of more difficult to keep and lives longer than a bunny. Both are quite different, if you want a very affectionate pet that is always at your side then you can get a glider. Gliders need more attention or they will die of loneliness unless they have a cage mate.

yes... will die in lonelines.... is true...
so u need to find some cage mate for it or u need to play with it more than 5 hours as those experts said if U only have 1 sugar glider...
