just wondering, is it a must to have a nesting box for the mom? oh i saw this rabbit food (sun seed) in ikano pets wonderland that has high fibre content (about 26-28% if i'm not mistaken), would that be okay too since no oxbow in malaysia yet also i saw this cheaper version of pellet (bengy locally made) in petsmore that said FOR BREEDER which also happens to have high fibre content and selling at a quite cheap price. also, i saw petsmore selling a very cute tricolor lop ear rabbit for rm120, i asked them what lop, they not sure but they said one of their vet said it was french lop. anyone know how to tell the difference between a french lop and a holland lop? *confused*

just gotta be careful when u buy your rabbits from petshops like petsmore. got to inspect all over especially the teeth. my 1st rabbit from petsmore has malocclusion and with this problem, i every 2 months need to bring her go vet for trimming...not very nice of them to breed rabbits with malocclusion i've googled about the nesting box, some of them said it is not necessary but wanna seek advice from some of the experienced rabbit owners here first before i go buy one or go make one

QUOTE(sangterap @ Jan 14 2008, 10:53 PM) I do not recommend especially if you have intention to breed your bunny with malocclusion. IF you do then you are just the same as those people who are irresponsible and contribute to stocks like what you have got in the first place... nah the one that i'm breeding are in perfect conditions, after this litter i'll be separating them in different cages already, all things are prepared QUOTE(11Jan @ Jan 14 2008, 10:55 PM) and how are you going to make sure that the kits are securely in one spot and kept warm if they are left in the open without a nest box? good point. ok will get her a nesting box

mine is the triangle ones, costs about rm20-30 if i'm not wrong. another curious question, since i've separated my male and female, will the male stress out/die because of unsatisfied lust?!?!? the reason why is because i noticed he's making strange sound (like annoyed and desperate sounds) whenever he tried to chase after the female to hump her but she would jump and run around... no need to help him to tfk 1 hor

ok another curious question which i have already tried googling it but didn't really get my answers...
should i neuter/spay both male and female or is it okay to perform on one of them only?
just curious what will the outcome be if we have these combinations:
neutered male + normal female normal male + spayed female
