Hi dude, this is a good question! I bet I will get you guys a good answer; not now but I promise there will be more information to be provided. As I have mentioned earlier, it will be glad to see you guys there and please take the opportunity to join the event.

Amazon UK inform customers of MGS 4 week long delay

According to reports, amazon.co.uk has informed some of its customers who pre-ordered MGS 4 that the game will "not be supplied to Amazon" until June 19th (7 days after the official release date). It is unclear if other retailers or regions have been affected.

Done downloading and installing. After u press the start button you can choose to start the game or watch the trailer. When you start the game there's an agreement thingy and it asks yout to download 1.01 update.

Uh, so I have MGO and i'm in the mist of downloading the patch. In the meantime I tried serveral proxies (none of them US however) and I still can't get the id.konami.net page to load.

Konami is starting to piss me off -- why not make the beta test open to everyone?

Anyone successful in making a Konami ID or am I the only one with the beta game right now?

The timeouts on id.konami.net have nothing to do with IP-blocking. People from US themselves cant access the site as well. However they might check IPs to verify the registrants' locations.

everyone seems to be getting "the mail" from konami...

I think as long as you registered using a US IP and a valid US address it will be fine to register for the US konamiID & gameID. But the final stumbling block might be the IP check when connecting to their servers in-game.

Arhh just enter the game... already got updates.. .. damn... & using P2P.. very slow la... adoiii bila nak habis nie....

Your best bet is to ask a friend from USA to register it for you and use their valid address (US proxy will do as well). But for now the servers are getting timeouts all the time even for US users. The game isnt playable until 21st April anyway. I might try to register for a UK/EU account during the weekend or maybe this Monday.

i wonder if we can now get LE earlier here as well....

Hrmm, when is the Asian LE at Play-Asia going to be open for pre-order.. hrmmmm

damn. I tried downloading the patch using web download last night, left it on -- this morning I have a 'network' error.

I guess I'll try the peer-to-peer download next but streamx throttles that like hell.

any of you successful in getting the patch?

I just try DL P2P... but damn fuking slow la.. so i cancel it... maybe this 21st i will try again...
