It really depends on how tame is the syrian is. Also if your hands smells like food it will bite also. Both male and female is fine.

If you want to buy really tame syrians, you can get from JTL or Nezu. They have the most tame syrians here.

if it is not tame, you can tame it slowly..
even my syrian which is quite tame still bite me..last night lor kena bite again.
he bite my finger which i'm wearing a ring..and bleeding oso..
but today its ok edi..

yosh....my syrians are tamer and tamer each day,lol.....
they didnt piss on my hand anymore...so far so good.....like to grab them...

hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif All the Syrian we got from JTL never bite but you get bitten, your hand must be something wrong or you handle it rough till it don't feel comfortable or threaten, or else... don't think they'll bite unsure.gif unsure.gif unsure.gif

Good lorh, my Syrian always bit me, maybe protecting her child. I was re-filling the food bowl

The babies already can eat, walk, etc etc.. So happie~
Tommorow will buy tank for them. =)

i dont know why he bite me..
when i put my right hand inside the tank..he'll get on my palm and sniff2 only.although i just handle his food, my hammy dont bite..
but when i put my left hand,which i wear the ring, he'll try to bite the ring and accidently bite my finger..
but it's ok..already get use being bitten.. icon_rolleyes.gif (although quite pissed off last night sweat.gif )

hi guys.. i'm new here..
i want to ask. my hamster doesn't bite cage or the mineral stone. teeth overgrown n yellow. how to make it bite? sounds strange but true. and i thought all hamsters like to gnaw?

try buy wood hut or stick treat..they wont bite mineral stone..

oh yea..they seem to eat kuaci only..the rest of the food they dun wan..how le..wasting food..

Guys... i got my hamster like 1 week ago... and i can't seem to tame it....
It bit me till bleed then i'm so afraid to touch my hamster again
I don't know which type of hamster it is but it looks exactly like this

dun give too much kuaci, when there's no oher food left, they'll eat wat's available smile.gif

by the way the picture is not truly themselve...coz i cant touch them to take a closer picture, it's just a picture of the net...but it looks exactly like that

RC is russian campbell, a type of hamster species.. i heard they're fond of biting.. tat's y i rear WW(winter white) instead..

from experience, the ww i get from petshop, some will bite.. but somehow in the end they become tame.. i recommend u put 1 only, or if u wan 2 make sure they're same sex.. the price depends on the petshop.. sunway pyramid sells at rm23, pets wonderland(mid valley) sells at rm25.. ikano at rm20..

yup, my picture is winter white sapphire..

y not try tame ur hamster instead? try to give it some food, let him/her get used to ur smell... i think with effort, they can become tame too biggrin.gif

i have no experience with RC, perhaps those with experience can tell u..
for my winter white, i tame them by playing and spending time with them everyday.. it's not an immediate thing, it takes time n patience.. unless if u get hamsters from breeders like some of LYN forumers..
