last time, i've never had one that died of old age. i've used to rare 4, 1 died while giving birth, 1 died of sickness. well, when those 2 died (they're females), the other 2 died of broken heart.

i think there is no 1ft tank? 1.5ft tank should be enough for ur 1 ww hamster. It cost around rm30.

1ft is small.. i use it just for my  hammy waiting due date for gave birth.i use 1.5 ft for 2 robos..

1ft tank is small and shallow. Your hammy may be able to climb out from inside. You have no space to put wheel, food bowl, hiding house and etc. Buy a bigger tank la, not much different, maybe in the future you wanna keep some other kind of hamster like Syrian? Think of long term mah, all my tank is 2ft at least. Even 2ft is small for my Syrian, I just saw him trying to jump and grip the wire lid of his ZooZone2. You won;t be regret to buy a bigger tank.
