All Novacell got the casing?

Under the signal bar there is normally an icon. It just shows an antenna if it is normal GSM and a 3G icon if it is 3G. It will turn to 3.5G if it is HSDPA...

Hi, I would like to recommend u guys install Nokia SMS Accerator as it will help speed up sending sms.
Below is the description that I copy from Nokia site:

This application accelerates the sending of SMS messages. It is recommended that you install this application to prevent slowness in SMS sending, which may occur over time if you send lots of SMS messages.

You can download this application, then transfer and install it on your phone. This can be done in the following ways:

1. Download to your PC and transfer it to your memory card or phone, then run the application.

2. Use PC Suite "Install Applications".

3. Download directly from the nokia.com link in your phone's Services browser (where available) to your phone and install.

is this really necessary? how's your personal experience with the software?

2. the accelerator has been there for like more than a year already.

i believe they made it for n80 because if you ever tried using one before...

HOW slow their sms can be...
for n82... and other newer phones... wouldn't have problem with slow sms... probably better system/ firmware etc etc

Has anyone tried FlipSilent or Nokmote? Since N82 has an accelerometer just like N95.
Can those apps run on N82? Or is there any better apps?

both work great on n82.
flipsilent is ok.
nokmote not really useful.

Can use Nokmote for game right? How to activate it? It press "Pen+C" errr wat's tat?

nokmote for game?? you can try...but is very very sensitive...
nokmote need u to press pen+c to activate the app, but no pen button on n82. so u have to download another pen+c app to activate the nokmote. cheers

Hurrmm... from my exp I see that it work. Coz previously before install I notice some slowness when sending sms.
Anyway, tht my personal exp. Maybe others can test n share ur exp

P/S: It's not only patch for N80, oso got for N73 & 1 more model (can't recall).

The patch is included in latest firmware for respective phone already... so it can be said as useless...

has anyone tried using n95's HS-45 & AD-54 with N82 before?
i read that not compatible, but wonder who ever try before.


how come n82 only come bundled with ugly HS-43??

I've found the solution~ go to menu > tools > settings > connection > apn control and make the connection restrictions inactive

some kinda security feature that smartphones have.. good in a way tht u can prevent ppl from simply using 3g without ur permission lol

flipsilent got bug.. i realize tht if u turn the phone back face up while the phone rings, it wont change back to normal mode anymore. whereas if u turn it back after the call, it'll change back to the previous profile..
wait.. or was it the other way round?

anyways, nokmote is a good app to screw ur frens around lol.. u can go to gallery and tell them.. "look.. im not touching any of the buttons.. (then u can trick them) its voice activated.. left~ *tilts it slightly towards the left*. LOOK!~ it switches by voice activation LOL

u can try the newest flipsilent 1.03

menu > tools > settings > connection > apn control and deactivate connection restrictions inactive <--- this really work

I also using maxis, cannot connect to any 3G or GPRS setting.

just have to make it Deactivate then can use
