QUOTE(Agent001 @ Jan 7 2008, 03:55 PM) anybody can recommend a nice screen protector for N82? I want one that covers the front camera as well, like the one that came default when we first buy the phone. try novacell outlet, they have n82 screen protector and cover front camera.I heard about Martin Fields, but it is so expensive, any other alternatives?? HP shops also don't even stock screen protectors for the N82 yet!!! Added on January 7, 2008, 9:33 pm QUOTE(chin_kh @ Jan 7 2008, 04:35 PM) I have successfully installed garmin mobile xt. however, another problem occured. When i try to run the appliation, 1stly, the application will scan for GPS device. Then, when it din find any GPS device, an message stated that no GPS device has been found & exit the garmin application. Can anyone help me on this? TQ it could be that u missed one of the steps, change the setting so it uses built-in gps device. This post has been edited by niel: Jan 7 2008, 09:33 PM |

Bought Nokia Original In-Car charger for RM55 from Novacell, quite a deal I would say. Already paid a big sum for the phone, don't want rely on cap palang less than RM10 charger
As for the in-car phone holder, can you charge when the phone is in the bracket? It looks like the holder is blocking the charger hole. Anyone tested? |

QUOTE(wztech @ Jan 12 2008, 01:44 PM) I just saw a few people selling this N82 AP for RM16** at LElONG........... Just my experience, no point waiting because whenever I waited for price to be dropped, newer models are coming soon in just another 6 months or so. Then I will have no choice but to upgrade them in a short period of time of ownership. So my style is to buy it a month after release and enjoy using the phone, and this way I am able to use the phone longer without thinking of upgrading.Looks like the price is dropping really quick...... Gonna wait until it drops to RM13** - RM14** first then only gonna buy this phone.......I wonder how long do I've to wait The longer you wait, the cheapest it gets, but that's make the whole N82 package less tempting due to either better and newer models or other better options from other manufacturer. Buy it, use it, enjoy it while you can This post has been edited by niel: Jan 12 2008, 02:05 PM |

so far anyone have problem with SMS?
sometimes after typing WOMAN (t9) then you hit the right/down d-pad to proceed, the whole word will be disappeared. it happens randomly so i believe this could be a bug. anyone else? |

anyone experience sometimes when activating camera, you can only see "blank/black" screen instead of 'viewfinder'. seems like a bug...
another thing is my garmin + malsing map sometimes gone weird, keep "recalculating..." repeatedly... and at certain areas, it seems like entering a bermuda triangle and the voice navigation completely mess up the direction |

QUOTE(PIPSGuy @ Jan 22 2008, 09:52 AM) Hi, I would like to recommend u guys install Nokia SMS Accerator as it will help speed up sending sms. is this really necessary? how's your personal experience with the software?Below is the description that I copy from Nokia site: This application accelerates the sending of SMS messages. It is recommended that you install this application to prevent slowness in SMS sending, which may occur over time if you send lots of SMS messages. You can download this application, then transfer and install it on your phone. This can be done in the following ways: 1. Download to your PC and transfer it to your memory card or phone, then run the application. 2. Use PC Suite "Install Applications". 3. Download directly from the nokia.com link in your phone's Services browser (where available) to your phone and install. 1. the file is for n80 2. the accelerator has been there for like more than a year already. |

QUOTE(icecarpediem @ Feb 20 2008, 05:13 PM) I can confirm now that it was my handphone pouch which was making my battery go down so fast. that's why original pouch are mostly velcro type... I used GPS for a solid 2 hours (1/2 hour, 1/2 hour, 45 min, 15 min sessions). Made about 1 hour of calls, took some photos with and without flash (8 shots total), SMS abit (I think 15 smses?), listen to some mp3s and the battery was at 2 bars from kaput at 11PM. To drain it I just kept playing MP3 then just keep taking photos with flash (don't remember how many, take delete take delete). As previously, I'm on GSM only network mode and bluetooth constantly on. So I can safely say, a handphone pouch with magnetic cover will cause issues. How so, when you walk around the phone moves in the pouch and the magnet activate and deactivates the camera (in very quick sessions) and that causes the battery to be drained real fast. I am currently using a pouch which is velcro type and my battery is going strong. Nokia CP150 fits the phone just nice. |

bought a new car mount, very stable & sturdy and almost vibration free. the phone fits well and it doesn't block the charging port. arms can be extended, multi-angle adjustment with ball-bearing joint at the phone holder base... definitely beat all the rm15 one outside. http://www.eastgear.com/shop/index.php?cPath=99 great buy! item arrived from SG in just one day! QUOTE(winterwish @ Apr 9 2008, 11:45 PM) Wahh, I've been looking for something like this. Any idea when I can get it in Malaysia? I don't mind spending a bit for a quality product like this. i have tried to search around, seems like no one selling quality car mount in malaysia. so paying.. i think SGD17 for fedex delivery to KL is not bad though |

QUOTE(winterwish @ Apr 9 2008, 11:59 PM) It's safe, but just backup your file if anything goes wrong. If you flip back 2 pages there's someone got his phone hang and wrote down the step to recover from it. if i remember correctly, i paid SGD78 for the base and arm + SGD17 for delivery.Added on April 10, 2008, 12:02 am How much does it cost? SGD17 is just the delivery or with the mount all together? Sorry for the question, I've been looking for this also. But over here all look so lousy. so after conversion of (78+17) x2.3 = rm2xx ? |
