To CIMB and CIMB DA cardholders:

I found this from Direct Access website:

This is very critical. I was about to do a Balance Transfer. Anybody could confirm?

The same thing I found at CIMB Bank website:

I called CS just now and they said the programme will be ended by 31st January 2008. If you submit your form by 31st January 2008, they'll still process it.

The discontinuation of EPP and Balance Transfer make CIMB and CIMB DA cards less attractive. I'll put my DA as a backup since no annual fee to worry for (cross my fingers).

What the CS said has no integrity. One said that CIMB and DA will still receive Balance Transfer till 31st January 2008. Another CS said that it's over and it's only open for existing card holders.

Terminate the programme without any notice sent.

Any existing CIMB or CIMB DA card holders receive this circulation?

i own a mbb card and got about 2.6k due ... if i apply hsbc cards and want to do a balance transfer to hsbc, but the conditions says that this applies to existing card members only ... so if i apply solely to to do a blance transfer, it will not be allowed?
*
Balance Transfer is usually offered to new card holders. Some banks like MBB, HSBC and HLB have it as a year long programme for exisiting card members.

If you want to be sure, you can give HSBC CS a call.

I cancelled my HSBC Visa CC today. They cut the card especially through the chip and photocopied a copy of the cancellation form to me.
