is Philips a good brand?

I've boycott Phillips now. I thought it's a good brand but it's not. All Phillips products that i've used have limited lifespan (All KO before or nearing 3 years). 2 CRT monitors KO less than 3 years. 2 CD Player KO in 3 years. doh.gif

No more Phillips for me.

Maybe you can consider their lightbulbs though. sweat.gif

hye friends..
noob question here

assume lcd supports hdcp
- with no hdmi port
- interface: D-sub and dvi

do i get 1080p or will it scale down to 720p?

or perhaps the interface of hdmi port is just a medium to transfer data which gives no difference whether u connected ur system with dvi cable or hdmi cable..

thanx in advance!

your minitor must support HDCP, then buy DVI-HDMI cable to connect.

Hi SHARP LC32A53M users, I just joined the club tongue.gif I'm facing 1 problem though :/ When I'm playing my PS3, it always shows as 60Hz, where do I change it to 100Hz? When I go to normal TV channels I'm able to change following the manual, but when I'm at HDMI, the option is turned off, and the manual doesnt say anything about this... Any idea?
