QUOTE(danmooncake @ Aug 31 2009, 10:11 PM) DJ support @ 9435 S&P support @ 1015 We were close to 3 digits sell off.. but bounced back a bit now. But.. still -80 at this moment. We need 1%-2% pullback will be healthy today. Because of PMI data out today reach 50. Better than estimation. Hope so. Healthy bear trend

The financials seem to have clawed back some since opened.
Anyway, next month the banks are about to release more foreclosures holding back into the market. This mean bad news for real estate because inventory will surge back.
Opps: AIG drops below 10% Be warned, AIG is still not good for Longs. This is just a trader stock. That's it as Barron has pointed out.

QUOTE(eslife @ Sep 1 2009, 08:46 AM) Any US stocks can recommend here? No, but you can pick one, we can discuss its performance, pro and cons here. Otherwise don't buy anything until you are ready (meaning you know exactly what you want). Added on September 1, 2009, 11:04 amQUOTE(GHz @ Sep 1 2009, 09:35 AM) When or at what price you estimate that we safely can long AIG & also C. I would stay away from AIG. But for C.. when I think I would start a position on pullback below 4.50. This post has been edited by danmooncake: Sep 1 2009, 11:18 AM

QUOTE(eslife @ Sep 1 2009, 03:27 PM) Everyone is talking "monitoring" , "watching" ... When is the best time to trade in USA stock? Perhaps now. As everyone is in the sideline, you risk a longer lock-in period or an early entry.

FYI. AIG has been downgraded by Bernstein.
American International Group (AIG): After an astronomical August, shares of American International Group start September less auspiciously after Bernstein downgraded it to Underperform from Market Perform on valuation. Their price objective of $10 is intact.

More bad news for AIG. QUOTE AIG Stock Moving Back to Reality
After a significant jump over the past week -- a move many market watchers believe was borne of emotion and speculation -- shares of the flailing insurer fell nearly 6% in pre-market trading to $42.76. The move might have also reflected news from earlier this morning, as Reuters reported that whoever wins the bid for AIG's Taiwan unit will need a little patience: The buyer of Nan Shan Life is expected to run the division for at least seven years, Reuters reported, citing Taiwan's financial regulators.
So anyone looking to buy the unit and then swiftly sell it off is out of luck. AIG has been having difficulty selling Nan Shan, as bidders are scaling back their offers. Three bidders offered $1.5 billion, below the $2 billion AIG expected, Reuters reported.
Bids on the unit include: a joint bid from Caryle Group and Fubon Financial; a joint bid from Primus Financial and China Strategic; and a solo bid from Cathay Financial.
But new CEO Robert Benmosche may not go for the low-ball bids. He has stated that he will not be as free in selling off AIG's assets for barrel-bin prices in an effort to repay the insurer's $85 billion loan from the government.
