Hope the current government won't impose the RM50 for principal and RM25 for supplementary credit card holder after 1st September 2018 as this is under Budget 2010 which is from Najib to cover his 1MDB ass...

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Jun 17 2018, 05:20 PM)
yes the rm50. if it's reintroduced then kena cut many cards already. lol
*
QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 17 2018, 11:10 PM)
Obviously, it makes a huge difference for people like us with more than 10 cards, that's 500! For my case is 23 cards, do the math. I don't think I can get that much of benefits for the amount I were to pay. laugh.gif
*
If government implement these, salesman can resign for credit card already.. Not need do sales because this will let customers request cancel the credit card and away.

I cannot accept like previously that impose RM50/each of credit card. shakehead.gif There is not much benefit at all for us, ONLY either for bank or government.
Pray hard hopefully don't have such stupid this charges. Else, prepare to call customer service to cancel ALL. whistling.gif

Isn’t bigpay considered quasi cash ? So quasi cash is only limited to betting and gaming ? Great, will start loading money into bigpay with my fortune

Has anyone tried before this:

Got two BigPay cards under different card holder name but use the same BIG account to collect BIG point?

The previous GST RM50 is to reduce the household debt as that time not much control of credit cards issued......

The credit card golden era prior to that GST RM50......

1.u can apply credit card with existing credit cards record without any income documents
2.min wage to apply is 1.5 per month (18K per annual)
3.drastically increased of CL.......can be 20-30X of the monthly salary.

Still a lot of people desperate to get the Maybank M2, OCBC Titanium, Public VS and UOB One at that time. Not really a bad thing as we didn't carry too many CC and unused credit limits.

People who want to borrow money don't really care about the cost, RM50 per annum is still cheap compared to cost to get housing or other loans.

Some cash machines are not operated by the banks. The "investor" provide the ATM cash withdrawal service to make money!
Not sure if you can use Prepaid Mastercard to request for cash (cash back or cash out) at some grocery stores there. Debit card cashback is quite common.
Our Giant hypermarkets did provide Debit cashback service a few years ago. You could get cash from the Giant's cashier instead of looking for ATM for cash withdrawal.

Not sure Giant hypermarkets/supermarkets still provide the Debit Mastercard cash withdrawal service at cashiers.

Will I get charged for overseas ATM withdrawal?
Our mission is to encourage cashless spend with our widely accepted card, but we understand that sometimes you just need cash abroad. For this reason, you can withdraw cash abroad at any ATM that with a Mastercard logo for RM10 per withdrawal. Unlike other cards, we are waiving the 2% of the withdrawal amount until further notice.

It’s also important to note that certain ATMs may charge you on top of the RM10. This amount will typically be shown while conducting the withdrawal.

So when we are shown the additional charges while conducting the withdrawal we can still abort the transaction?
