High Velocity Bowling is kind of fun. With sixaxis you really feel like playing real bowling, at home. Tthough the bowling ball is way heavier.

want to say hello to the PS3 community, I finally made the purchase last Saturday from Bernard & Crystal and now am the proud owner of a 40GB PS3 and Motorstorm.
 I'll make a PSN account soon. I'd post my purchase experience, but I think I'll just quote instead QUOTE I'm typing this from my wireless keyboard connected to the ps3 that I bought from bernard and crystal on saturday evening. Thanks for honoring my reservation and the great service offered. Crystal explained a lot of critical info about the ps3 to me. It was a crazy day on saturday, had to run around town to grab the necessary electronic parts to get my ps3 up and running on my pc monitor and speakers. Too bad my monitor can only support 720p. Ah well at least I have a ps3 now rclxm9.gif The most amazing thing is that even my mom and dad, who never liked playing consoles actually enjoyed playing motorstorm! happy.gif The sixaxis motion sense really pulled them in. I tried for so long to get them to appreciate gaming and sixaxis did it! Now my dad wants me to teach him how to hook up the ps3 to the LCD tv downstairs to play when I am not around. lol! Just so sayang motorstorm got no 2 player offline mode. Can't go head to head splitscreen with my parents. |

I went through the whole setup process for my own rig with the ps3 to my samsung 206BW monitor. I can certainly say it wont be an easy road. First off the cable is available from AllIT Hypermart in low yat. That's where i got mine. The standard one costs RM 69, the branded one will cost RM 169. Mine is a 3 year old wireless logitech cordless Desktop Pro keyboard mouse + keyboard combo. Bought it for RM 150 from bulk order section. Mouse I use logitech MX1000 laser mouse. Both works out of the box with no tweaking or driver installation.

okay peeps, does anyone know what ps3 games a 6 YEAR OLD would enjoy?
Granduncle was very impressed with my ps3 _ BD capability so has assigned me to get a ps3 + around 5 games for cousin who's.... 6. His sister even younger. So he said NO violent games,ppl whacking each other up, possibly shooting them, maiming, bla bla or ppl talking to each other..lol.. unless it's nice cutesy conversation.. Any recommendations? |

haha, yup thats what i meant. on gamefaqs, they have an unlocked all planets gamesave to d/l, but that only works on Super Stardust HD (US Version).
i buy fr HK PSN store using prepaid cards fr P-A. prices are sometime more expensive than US stores and the game release date is slower but i don't mind , got my hands full with current games at the moment. |

the PSN account which bought/own the content must exist and be activated for sharing to work.
for example, if Mr. John bought PAIN using his PSN account MrJohn, his other 4 friends must have the same PSN account MrJohn on their PS3 to play PAIN for free. but the friends can login and play using their own accounts. also note, only 1 PS3 can log in to the PSN as MrJohn at a time. @judge heavenly sword is a good game but too short. PS3 has lots of action games which is pretty good for me.

MotorStorm 3.1 Update - New Features  The latest update to MotorStorm is out today. Now included is a vehicle selection of 2D/3D in the host options as well as mirrored tracks. The vehicle selections lets you have either the traditional 3D select screen or a 2D grid of the vehicles to choose from, which seems to speed up the selection process somewhat. The host can also choose mirrored tracks which reverses the entire geometry set of the tracks. Where you went left you will now go right. An interesting mix, and will take some getting used too not to forget which way you're actually going! The addition of a proximity meter in MotorStorm mode is also welcome, and works like the one in eliminator mode. up down left right also got black bars, left and right bigger, up down minimal only set to widescreen as well u try set progressive scan on, and u will see how it looks like wothout upscaling |

actually most PS2 games still look their best with SDTV
the blurriness of old CRT TVs hide the jaggies ps2 games usually don't fill up the whole screen cos the programmers know 99% of their players play on TVs with overscan issues. |

RX, you got a 720p LCD TV ar? That means you're only displaying at 1080i, Interlaced. Most of us like that I think. I don't know, me can't afford 1080p TV yet. Too damn expensive. |

aiman, mine is a plasma, 1024 X 768 , supports 1080p input, so i just let it auto to 1080p lor |

i mean get a BenQ FP94VW for RM700. 1440*900 but supports 720p and 1080p.
HDMI cable RM20 + any 2.1 audio system is good enough. maybe can use this setup while saving money for better display and audio system |

As for me, I run my ps3 alternately between my family's 32 inch Sharp Aquous and my 20 inch Samsung 206BW. Funny thing is, in contrast to

well I guess so.... the real contrasting part is the 32 inch TV wont show 1080p part, cause I do believe 32 inch TVs can show 1080p, provided they do support it natively.

WeeeeeeWe met with DivX earlier today to discuss their upcoming plans, and one of the topics that came up was support for the PS3 console. According to the company, they expect the previously announced firmware update to hit the PS3 soon, which will enable full DivX support for the console. Though no specific time frame was given for this upgrade, their particular emphasis on saying it was coming soon leads us to believe it's "coming in a week or two" soon, as opposed to "4 months down the road" soon. I just played the Burnout Paradise demo
It was cool And there is multiplayer Though i dont know what do i do there though I just cari pasal with some other guy and crash into each other So when everyone finished download burnout lets go on a freeburn or freerun im not sure tridentus |

Re. Burnout demo - the sandbox style map is like Test Drive Unlimited. U drive to pre-defined spots on the map (e.g. traffic lights) and join races/events. This is different from previous iterations of the Burnout series and takes some getting used to for me. To join online events/races, click the right d-pad and see what's going events/races are taking place.
Really need to memorise the map and various shortcuts to do well in the races. |

if you saw how those professional drivers speed and drift into a parallel parking between two cars without hitting them, you might want to try that out. I haven't seriously tried power breaking, I think its hard.

@trident, if u previously installed the single player timeshift demo, u must delete it first, then only install the MP demo
@ruzty, once u delete a PSNID from a frenlist, your ID will also be deleted on the other side. haha, i doubt anyone will be offended, cos the frenlist limit only 50, so must organize it. for example, i don't play MP shooter games, so i don't simply add myself to other's list, i know they don't have space @lapaq, thanks for the news. Your chances of getting them to fix it for you is much brighter. But again they might not want to fix it just because your PS3 is not from their official shops. Unless the person you got it from got his from an offcial shop, I guess So far, no one try going all the way to Singapore to try it out yet. Till then, we won't know what they would do |

Weird. There's no information on Blu-Ray Profile 1.1 update in the Change Log. Probably a hidden update, coz no Blu-Ray movie supported this feature yet, not until January, next month. So, no one can test.

Some notes about Firmware 2.10 that I notice:
Video icons - When group by album, the icons now plays the 15 seconds video again. Since update 2.01 this wasn't possible. Controller - after leaving about 1 hour (not sure how long actually), the controller actually turns of by itself. Before it stays on until we turn it or the system off. |

I notice one thing last night after 2.10 update, during BD startup, if you press the L1+L2 button together it will go straight to the BD menu skipping all the intro....

mpyw, u know disny bluray, where they force u to see all the previews, i think after u seen once the next time u pop the disc in u can skip and press menu directly
ok, yesterday tested the divx compatibility, Hi def avi's ok wor (but porn) SD ones(normal show - 1.8mpbs and 2.8 mpbs) i try kenot...... then tried wmv hidef (also porn) also can.... means wat? my ps3 can only play porn stuff ar? |

question...is it ok if we use dvd-r or cd-r on ps3 to watch divx?...since ps3 is lens sensitif, scared to insert the disc...instead copy it using thumbdrive...tq

They did it with Minna no Golf 5 and Bladestorm and now Devil May Cry 4 looks set to receive the same treatment. The game will be bundled with both white and black 40GB PS3s and will also come with an extra Blu-Ray of bonus content. Due out on the 31st of January, alongside the game, the bundle will retail for 47,800 yen. That's around 212 GBP, 294 Euros or 422 USD by today's standards. Not a bad deal at all. sigh all the available downloads.. i cant keep up di.. one thing my HDD goin to be full another no internet. tat also if got.. so freaking slow.. arghhhhh.. (cause i download other things as wel and i cant use the broadband all to myself. its shared)!!!!!
