hey guys when will the Burnout paradise demo be released

Start getting use to the fact that Sony is behind MS as they are always late in everything.  Games delay, or release fews months after 360 version, lower framerate as compare to 360 version, losing exclusive titles, poor reviews, lack of AAA titles blah, blah, blah.

Voice Changer

The Voice Changer feature has been added to voice / video chat. Visit the Voice Changer guide in Help & Support under PS3 at eu.playstation.com for more details.

Using this feature, you can change the tone of a voice that is input from an audio device such as a microphone. High and low-pitched tones can each be adjusted to five preset levels. You can vary the tone when using voice / video chat under Friends.

Other new or revised features in version 2.10

Music

* You can now select [Type 3] as an option under Settings > [Music Settings] > [Bitmapping]. This bitmapping process was developed specifically for the PS3TM system to enhance audio playback.

Video

* DivX and VC-1 (WMV) have been added to the types of files that can be played. *
* Blu-ray Disc Profile 1.1 is now supported. **

- To play VC-1 (WMV) format files, you must go to Settings > [System Settings] and set [Enable WMA Playback].
- Copyright-protected files or files that were encoded by using DivX 3.11 cannot be played. - Files that are 2GB or more cannot be played.
** You may now be able to use several additional features such as playback of two videos at the same time with Profile 1.1-compatible Blu-ray Discs. The available features vary depending on the disc.
*** The management data that is used by the Blu-ray Disc is saved.

The DivX playback allows for VC-1 WMV files (providing you "Activate WMA Reproduction" in the System Settings menu), although it's not possible to play copyrighted files, those compressed with DivX 3.11 or files bigger than 2GB.

So what else is in there? Well, there's no in-game XMB as yet, but there will be Blu-ray 1.1 support, and a voice changer feature, with five presets and base and treble adjustments.

Sony has already said that the PSP will receive a firmware update tomorrow, introducing several Japan-specific features.

noob question, whats the diff between DivX & Xvid???

Xvid is a primary competitor of the DivX Pro Codec (Xvid being DivX spelled backwards). In contrast with the DivX codec, which is proprietary software developed by DivX, Inc., Xvid is free software distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License. This also means that unlike the DivX codec, which is only available for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X (there is also an x86 DivX codec download "for Linux developers", which is not officially available from the main DivX website, and has not been updated since 2006), Xvid can be used on all platforms and operating systems the source code can be compiled to.

Some notes about Firmware 2.10 that I notice:

Video icons - When group by album, the icons now plays the 15 seconds video again. Since update 2.01 this wasn't possible. 

Controller - after leaving about 1 hour (not sure how long actually), the controller actually turns of by itself. Before it stays on until we turn it or the system off.

Sony's gaming division might have a small showing at this year's CES, but that isn't keep Paul Purdy from dropping some big PS3 news:  in-game Xross Media Bar (XMB) access is confirmed for 2008.  When pressed for a date or timeframe with more solidarity, the Sony rep countered with a "no further comments" and left us praying that the long-awaited feature will release sooner rather than later.

For those not aware, the PS3's operating system is unavailable while in games.  This prevents the use of custom soundtracks or messenging while a game is active, and since the Xbox 360 offers its users both while in-game, PS3 owners have been justifiably frustrated.

i couldn't find any demo for assassins creed and also COD4. Aren't there any or removed already?

yup, not much got discount on ps3 side - got some nice bargains on NSTC/J ps2 and 360 games, though
