p/s: Just got my copy of GOW II from play-asia, skyracer ordered it for me....going to try it on the PS3 tonite....

and to add the the cost of ordering....I've got TWO 'saman' for illegal parking...just to get the game from skyracer....

so total cost RM67+RM50+RM50 = RM167

but the feeling of playing the best PS2 game on PS3 upscaled = priceless

p/p/s: skyracer is a very nice guy...btw...we actually have great guys all around here in LYN PS forum.

You cant fill up your whole screen? you mean you only got 4:3 is it?

If that is the case, you need to press the PS button while playing the game, then under 'other settings' you select screen mode as 'full' screen'...That should do it....

Then remember to select in GOW II options Widescreen 'On'.

I can get the screen to be filled all the way fine...no black bars anyway...

Hmm...then maybe the tv not 'ngam' with the output of the PS3...any other PS2 game that you've tried? same thing also?

Like me, some of the game putput would ioverscan on my tv screen...but some game doesn't overscan...dunno laaa...

Forgot to try the progressive mode...now going to work already...will try tonight...

Or better yet...I'll fire up my PS2 with 480p then fire up the PS3 with both 480p and upscaled..then just switch channel to see the difference...Sure a better way to compare...Muahahahaha...will do it tonight...

Like me I have FFx:Int and also GOW II...both looks awesome and fullscreen with no addtional black bars...but FFx:I got left and right as it's a 4:3 game but still if I enable fullscreen, it will stretch the image to fullscreen.

Only problem I have are with selected ps3 games...like tekken DR (overscan a bit) and a few other games..That is why I like some of the games that have the modify screen options like warhawk..shich will help me fix the overscan...

For projector they do have 1024 x 768...which is 4:3 resolution....

Do you have the original mkv file too? does it come with subtitles in the mkv files? if not then just the mp4 would be fine....

I don't want to take without giving something back...so what I can offer is a lot of anime. I have boat loads of anime going over 500 GB...lost count already...multiple version of same anime also got....even those 720p and 1080p blu-ray rip though I all are in mkv format...I only convert them for watching then just delete them off...

You tell me what anime you want and I'll check if I have them...

Bought Dark Mist via SG PSN....great game I must say but I only played about 3 level...will spend more time later...I really like the art direction in this game...reminds me of PS1 era game...

IT has both Eng and Chi lang...so chooses the language based on your PS3 language settings.

For me it's worth the buy...It's refreshing to have a Jap flavoured PSN game for a change since it has always been western games most of the time. Gameplay wise, is also rather good but I can't say much since I've only played till the first boss..and a few level after that...Haven't really played enough to give a review...but personally at SGD10+...I can't really complain...Unless it's USD10..that is a diff story.

Control wise...be sure to change it in the option to be like a 'twin stick' shooter rather than a single stick. I only know about this after the first playthrough...And while playing I kept wondering why they never made it like other twin stick shooter...since the default is a single stick shooter control.

As I mention, graphics are great...especially the art direction...It's great to back like in Mega Drive/PS1 era...

All in all...at SGD 10, it's good....But then again I've only played less that 20 mins...wait till tomorrow and maybe I'll tell you whether it's good enough to spend SGD10..

p/s: Now I'm eying to buy Toy Home...the demo last time was great but the controls sensitivity needs to be tweaked a bit...just wondering whether they've done that or not....
