IGN Reviews PS3 Orange Box, calls it undoubtedly inferior

IGN has published its review on Orange Box for the PS3 and despite awarding it a score of 8.4/10 state that it is without a doubt inferior on the PS3 so think carefully before investing your money. Technical issues, long loading times and the framerate stutters when the game tries to look its best.

Has anyone bought the PS3 version yet?

Start getting use to the fact that Sony is behind MS as they are always late in everything. Games delay, or release fews months after 360 version, lower framerate as compare to 360 version, losing exclusive titles, poor reviews, lack of AAA titles blah, blah, blah.

Where does the PS3 stand after a year in the US market? Here is some numbers from NPD....


Wii just edges out Xbox 360 with 1.35 million sold in December compared to 1.26m

The latest hardware and software sales figures are in for the month of December in the US market courtesy of research firm NPD. According to the report, the Wii sold 1.35 million units, followed by the Xbox 360 with 1.26 million units and the PS3 with 798,000 units. The top selling title was CoD 4 on the Xbox 360 which sold 1.47 million copies, followed by Super Mario Galaxy with 1.4 million units and Guitar Hero III PS2 with 1.25 million units. Oh and as per usual, the DS hardware totally overshadowed competing portable and console hardware with monthly sales of 2.47 million!

Well, its still PS3rd !!!

Anyway, numbers mean a lot really. PS3 sales is so far behind means that its not popular and when you are not popular, you lose support from developer and eventually you lose games and exclusive titles. So far the only exclusive worth playing on the PS3rd last year is Uncharted and ratchet. Is that all?

Chill man! PS3rd will probably do well in the future. But don't you wanna play Bioshock, Mass Effect, Ace Combat, Halo 3, PGR4, Forza 2, Gears of War? Probably not, cos you guys rather be loyal to your PS3rd.

Yalor...Even games like Uncharted only use 30% of the PS3rd power, but the strange thing is that until today so many PS3rd game can run in 30fps while the same game runs at 60fps on the 360. Even the latest Orange Box don't have framerate issues like the PS3rd version. Steeper curve my ass!!!

Putting a V8 engine(Cell processor) on a Kancil with a 10litre(256mb system ram) and a 10"sport rims(256 Video ram) will get you any where FAST.

Who is the real retard here? The facts is that most games run smoother on the 360 than the PS3rd yet you wanna believe that MS is playing some dirty tactics. Think with your brain, not your balls!!! I'm not supporting MS nor the Sony but I'm playing games here and not be a stupid fanboy.

Who cares if MS paying off or buying off developers..you M.F. stupid retard. Its a business and I don't rally care!!! If it works out for MS and they get more great games, then I play those damn games. But what about you M.F. retard? All you know is PS3rd is the great even though until now the all the best and greatest console games happen to be on the 360. And even so, you would say 360 is bullshit while the PS3rd is the best.

Here is a N4G.com comparison.

Capcom said way back in May last year that its intention was to make both the PS3 and 360 versions of Devil May Cry 4 pretty much identical.

It looks amazing, that's for sure. The environments in particular - there's so much detail in there, which gets lit up by the massive sparks off Nero's ridiculously large sword as he plants it into the heads of his foes.

We did a bit of video trickery to get both versions running side-by-side as closely as possible, so you can take your magnifying glass to the screen in an effort to spot a difference. You won't be able to though. Not unless you're Superman.
