what's the difference between pencil mod and hardmod in overclocking?
the pencil mod effect will last for how long?
the hardmod definitely will void the warranty right?

just got my Sapphire HD3870, i tried 860MHz on GPU, but hang when stress test (Real Time HDR Lightning), is there anything can be done

save ur current bios using winflash and flash the one infront.

done... but still, it'll hang when hitting 850MHz core clock... is the pencil mod will the better idea? haih... gonna do it as i did to my ex-7300GT la like this

oo, i pencil mod to 1.54vgpu but still cant pass 950mhz.
your hardmod only for vgpu? or both include vmem?

don't think there's oc issue because of pcie 2.0 cos i've seen many ppl with pcie 2.0 board oc it like mad.

when i enable pcie2 will go to 840, if disable its goes to 860.
i did flash the bios many times.

weird, rlhc also using pcie 2.0
but result is superb....

a noob question here..how many % of performance will the processor affect the benchmark?

like myself using P4 3.0 HT if use 3870,will lose out how many marks compare to u guys using Q6600?

alot bro, in your case, P4 HT vs Q6600, im expecting 3-5k difference. good clocked high end processor does make a significant difference, and ram does play a role as well.

ok thanx..1 more question here how to check the power of our card?i wanna check my old skool card see how much watt its draining from my pcie slot..
