Ati HD3870 VGPU pencil mod (from Xtremesystems forums)
Just use a 2B pencil to lower the resistance on the marked blue resistor from 1.62kOhm to around 1KOhm My HD3870 stock vgpu = 1.33v (3d) after pencil mod vgpu went up to 1.415v This post has been edited by rlhc17: Dec 30 2007, 07:00 AM Attached thumbnail(s)

My initial test using HD3850 512mb ddr3 X-fire with HD3870 512mb ddr4
3850 in PCI-E X16 slot & 3870 in PCI-E X4 on my Foxconn Mars Default clock for both card  Attached thumbnail(s)
