I have yet another question. For those who uses 350D, whats the brightness setting set for the preview screen? Cause my pictures turn out underexposed or overexposed on the computer.

LCD is never accurate btw, so reading the histogram is the best way to see if it's over exposed or underexposed.

This is what I got from YL today, a BG-E3 and a EF 100mm Macro lens (used)
tested out the Tokina AF 100mm Macro lens as well, but prefer the Canon one, the Tokina uses a clutch system to change from AF to MF, not really use to that haha.

Yeah man.. I think next time all the forumers should list down where and at what price they bought the lenses. Frankly, There should not be a "I give you special price, so you don't go telling everyone!" kind of mentality.

We all want cheap, The retailers all want our money(This is getting more and more apparent what with the future petrol price increase and everything else that goes up with it) and will say anything to make the deal right?

Besides, if they sell it at a good price and then we inform ppl here, they will only make more money when all of us go there to get it from them. Sell bulk at a bit lower price is better than selling 1 or 2 at a higher price. Volume Sales is the key word here man..

Just called up Photo Selangor 55-250 IS RM840

Even the kitlens is a very good lens , it's just that if that particular lens suits the photographer.
So if you're looking for very shallow dof yet at a wide range , go get the Tamron 17-50mm or maybe Canon 17-55mm f2.8 IS.
or If you plan to get a 10-20mm lens later on , then go ahead with the Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 instead. biggrin.gif

I doesn't come across 28-70mm f2.8-4 before but from what i read on the 28-70mm f2.8 , the 28-70mm is very soft at wide open f2.8. smile.gif
Go shop around and test it out yourself. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

opps must have miss that, the grip is RM480, and the lens is RM1350, both from YL, they charge 2% is using CC on purchase RM800 and more. I ask him about bulk but doesn't seems to be willing to give more discount on the pricing. Grip for Rm480 seems to be the normal price, coz I think Bintang Maju the same price also. The 50mm f1.8 is still the cheapest at Photo Selangor it seems.

As for the histogram, a general guide is if it peaks to the left than is underexpose, if peak to the right then it's overexpose, i read from some where it said it's better to underexpose since if you overexpose you'll lose more details. try shooting the same scene using different exposure and look at each of the histogram, you'll understand better how to read it this way.
