Yes, base on Japan price. Same like Mercedes manufactured in South Africa. They don't use South Africa price.

Only 1 solution. You need to import RHD car to USA. Use for 9 months and bring it to Malaysia. Dont waste your time search through internet. Thats the only solution.

Or if you dont mind use LHD car in Malaysia, you can send your RX-8.
*
Only the state of Virginia would allow a RHD to be registered in the States. I'm not living there, so that's probably not going to be happening.

Is it really possible to import LHD car and drive it in Malaysia? Of course, I don't mind driving it on the wrong side of the road. Just abit of a hassle, but is it even legitimate to get it register? hmm.gif hmm.gif

EDIT ADD: May I have a name or two of the 'forwarding agents' that you guys are talking about? I have no clue what/ who they are. PM me if necessary ^^ Thanks~!

due to recent event in customs, the discount from the director maybe hard to get up to that figure, do made adjustment to adsorb extra cost..

here are the equation, assume that ur CIF is correct...

Duti Import = CIF X 30%
= 14,564 x 30%
= 4,369.20

Duti Eksais = ( CIF + Duti Import ) X 80%
= (14,564 + 4,369.20) x 80%
= 15,146.56

Duti Lain = (CIF + Duti Import + Duti Eksais ) X 10%
= ( 14,564 + 4,369.20 + 15,146.56 ) x 10%
= 3,407.98

Jumlah Cukai Jualan = Duti Import + Duti Eksais + Duti Lain
= 4,369.20 + 15,146.56 + 3,407.98
= RM 22,923.74

the total tax only then can entitled for discount

Dependent... Discount may apply to CIF or total tax, but it makes no difference (results the same) in the final tax.

"Duti Lain" should be Sales Tax/Cukai Jualan
