Not a straight answer, TS you need to assess accordingly
Age, pre-existing conditions Cancer stage and type If immediate surgery is the option to go then private (money buy time), I learnt pancreatic cancer best it’s still gov (specific specialist)

QUOTE(Avangelice @ Dec 22 2025, 08:45 AM) My wife too. Taking meds 6k per month. Do u know the meds she's on and her subtype? How's she now bro? She's on ribocuclib. Not sure which subtype, I don't remember. Already 1 year plus. Well compared to early time when she was diagnosed, cant even stand properly cause cancer traveled to the back bones, now it is alot better. Enough energy to go holiday oversea by herself.

Ribociclib, brand name kisqali. Her subtype confirm hormone positive and her2- which is the most common breast cancer. Send her regards from us.

You either fork out moonie for medication or do chemotherapy.. which stage 4 weak body you think would survive chemotherapy.. QUOTE(Avangelice @ Dec 22 2025, 09:42 AM) Ribociclib, brand name kisqali. QUOTE(terradrive @ Dec 22 2025, 07:55 AM) my dad diagnosed stage 4 colon cancer, spread to liver. Alive for 3+ more years lucky went to a budget private hospital(rafflesia) that has the same oncologist as expensive KPJ hospital in kota kinabalu (he rotating his days between these two hospitals), he's one of the best oncologist here. Treatment around 6k+ a month and a month or two off after each set of 5 months sessions. total spent probably around 200k including surgeries in those years. We used some newer type treatments after the older ones didn't work anymore, hair didn't even fall off and can live notmal life. Very unusual and rare occurrence.

You are gonna be on meds your whole life and the meds the cancer will be resistant so once one line fails you need yo change treatment. It is inevitable

No alternative will work once you know how metastatic breast cancer works. If you can, reach out to an oncologist that works with clinical trials and ask if there are any clinical trials your sister can join. These clinical trials will cover her medications and keep her on strict observation but she must meet the criteria to join. Here are the list of clinical trials ongoing in Malaysia https://mymos.my/clinical-research/advanced-breast-cancer/

Dunno if you know this but GH prioritise younger people first. So see your family member condition and decide if PH or GH.
If can wait then GH.

Putrajaya got IKN. but treatment depends on what stage of the cancer. Earlier stage will start faster as to avoid further.
Both my in laws got money so they did at Sunway Medical Velocity for their chemo session. Its not cheap since each treatment depends on what medicine or dose you take. My in laws charge between 4k to 5k per session. Been doing that since 2021.

QUOTE(Schumacher @ Dec 22 2025, 12:16 PM) I asked the robot AI earlier and chemotherapy sounds very painful. Will the vein feel like it’s burning? According to my late dad, it's burning sensation esp at the starting inject point. Gets worse as the dosage increase The after effect will last a few days as I see him kept sleeping, super weak, very temperamental and brain fog We even had him doing his own business in a separate toilet because was told residue of chemo from his pee and manure is considered harmful to others TS, I recommend gahmen hospital based on my experience. The GH nurses were super patient and helpful to my dad esp to keep him calm and not get into a panic attack before seeing the doctor. The doctors were very attentive in their choices of words that kept the situation under control. Private hospital ones on the other end.... Well let's just say they were mercenaries and straight to the point This post has been edited by shingo81: Yesterday, 02:41 PM
