If the private hospital specialist is willing to take your case, usually it is a good sign... This tally with your point. Lada Putih liked this post

QUOTE(shingo81 @ Dec 22 2025, 01:08 PM) According to my late dad, it's burning sensation esp at the starting inject point. Gets worse as the dosage increase Private hospitals are already said to be very expensive. Then in gahmen hosp, roughly how much would chemotherapy and medicine cost per month? The after effect will last a few days as I see him kept sleeping, super weak, very temperamental and brain fog We even had him doing his own business in a separate toilet because was told residue of chemo from his pee and manure is considered harmful to others TS, I recommend gahmen hospital based on my experience. The GH nurses were super patient and helpful to my dad esp to keep him calm and not get into a panic attack before seeing the doctor. The doctors were very attentive in their choices of words that kept the situation under control. Private hospital ones on the other end.... Well let's just say they were mercenaries and straight to the point |

Actually what's the difference between the cancer treatment in IKN compared to those in private hospitals?
QUOTE(afoka @ Dec 22 2025, 01:06 PM) Putrajaya got IKN. but treatment depends on what stage of the cancer. Earlier stage will start faster as to avoid further. Both my in laws got money so they did at Sunway Medical Velocity for their chemo session. Its not cheap since each treatment depends on what medicine or dose you take. My in laws charge between 4k to 5k per session. Been doing that since 2021. |

If own family I would have to sell whatever I have online. Then brother and sister would have to max out the credit cards and made monthly payment in installment.
But if not own family I dont care. I got 1 cousin damm bloody rich he got cancer but dont want to pay for treatment want people give him money for it. Each year their family go overseas vacation. The vacation money enough to fund the cancer treatment. By the time he decided to pay for own treatment. Doctor said already too late. He passed away shortly. This is really stupid. Somemore the rich money their family enjoy is all our entire family inheritance their family strike first before grandparents passed away. I only know about it after my distant cousin tell me about it. That means the rest the big family inheritance all gone just like that. |

QUOTE(jutamind @ Dec 22 2025, 11:29 PM) Actually what's the difference between the cancer treatment in IKN compared to those in private hospitals? gov servant got discounts or free treatment. for public it is cheaper than any private hospitals.but bear in mind the waiting line for treatment at IKN is really long and based on urgency case by case. You just cannot come and ask to chemo without doctor allowed it and limited at IKN. In private if got insurance or massive fund, the sky is the limit. The reason we sent my in laws to Sunway is because their cancer already at late stage 3 to 4 and the age more than 70. so at IKN they wont put the older first for treatment as they can be consider palliative. |

It’s 4–5k per session, how many sessions are needed per month? Since 2021, does that mean she already survived this long? What stage now after chemo for so long? |

What stage now after chemo for so long? Sadly both pass away. My father in law August last year, and mom in law this year in June. Both died at IKN since Sunway ask for 100k each to stay at icu. |
