I think this service is only worthwhile if they can provide better interest rates for loans or FDs.

Hi, does anyone know whether they really enforce the minimum cash/fd/etc to be available in account at all times. <-- After getting priority banking.

I wish to get, but I'm afraid sometimes I may withdraw a big sum in the future

Not all banks enforce that. Check out sifu Gen-X blog post on how to get free priority status.

Can anybody with personal experience confirm this? For Maybank or CIMB, do they strictly enforce the minimum AUM at all times or not?

Cimb preferred send me letters saying they want to start charging me because I fell below AUM. Fine, I go close account lor

Then a year later another branch manager ask to get preferred status again when I put FD at promo rate. Now the preferred card is no longer standalone. So must get the preferred VI credit card

Well, at the moment my AUM is back to minimal if they ignore advanced payments in flexi loan account. Wonder if I'd be getting love letters again

But honestly, cimb preferred is quite rubbish la. I don't see much use of it other than no queue

Citibank has revised its AUM requirement for Citigold from RM200k to RM350k since 2nd Feb 2016. Those who started a Citigold relationship with Citibank before 2nd Feb 2016 is not affected by this change.

Likewise Citibank has also changed its AUM requirement for Citi Priority from RM50k to RM100k.

Yes, MBB and CIMB enforced minimum AUM at all times. If you have a MBB Premier Wealth account, then you will be charged a certain amount for maintaining this account should your AUM falls below requirement.

A scenario below for 300k min AUM for PB:

Person A is already a PB customer with 300k FD.
Out of this amount, 200k FD is joint with Person B.

Then, A and B add another 100k joint FD, making the total 300k joint FD

Is B also eligible to be a PB customer? Thank you

Depends on the bank, some bank will take the joint account amount placement and divide among the joint owners .

This is not bad I think? CIMB Preferred is 4.1% for 150k @ 3 months.

Correct me if I'm wrong but having RM250K in FD is enough right? Or do I have to have a combination of FD and other investments ie. Mutual funds?

I'm asking because I just called the puchong branch and got told that by a pretty rude lady.. There goes my first impression..

AUM.
i believe it stands for account under management.
so it doesn't matter how you split your account.
so long combined total is 250k, you are good to go.

loans does not count.
loans is more than a mil or something to be under consideration if i am not mistaken.
