CIMB Preferred has increased their Interest Rates for up to 3% for RM 1M just to keep in their current account

http://www.cimbpreferred.com.my/en/lifesty...ed-account.html

Quite a good deal considering it used to be lower than Maybank's Premier Wealth

AUM.
i believe it stands for account under management.
so it doesn't matter how you split your account.
so long combined total is 250k, you are good to go.

loans does not count.
loans is more than a mil or something to be under consideration if i am not mistaken.

hi all. Good day.
May i know what is the difference between maybank premier wealth and private banking account?

I am currently premier wealth customer and somehow my RM advice me to open a PBA account, he say pba account is more keng and deserve more recognition and paying highest interest rates besides fd.

Is this private banking account same with the one that entitle customer to have maybank diamante card? Could taiko here please elaborate it. Thanks.

Hi, does anyone know whether they really enforce the minimum cash/fd/etc to be available in account at all times. <-- After getting priority banking.

I wish to get, but I'm afraid sometimes I may withdraw a big sum in the future

Apparently there's a new segment from UOB called "Wealth Banking"
150k to join, not sure if there is a lounge and coffee

It was stated from the website;

"To qualify for UOB Wealth Banking, clients need to maintain a minimum balance of MYR150,000 in deposits and/or investment with us."

To join any bank's Wealth Banking or Privilege Banking with RM 150k is not harder than to maintain and keep the minimum amount of RM 150k, unless most of the investments or wealth products are absolute goods.

Thought of reviving this post as could hardly find any information on the net about the actual benefits of priority / premier banking

Eg, http://www.rhb.com.my/malaysia/products-an...ats-new/premier

Does anyone have experience with RHB premier wealth & what other benefits do they provide besides financial planning, recommending investment products & lounge?

lamanya... what is the use of this card?

This card is basically just a debit card. Also, in some OCBC premier banking centers , you can use that card to swipe to enter into the lounge.

Yes, please please share the benefits of priority/premier banking of any banks especially Maybank tongue.gif

Based on personal experience, this is what I know so far:

Bank Rakyat Xclusive: reserved parking for selected outlets, some exclusive gifts like 'bigger' umbrella & some exclusive offers with their partners. Eg. Gym in HQ is RM50 a month.

Standard Chartered Priority Banking: in a year, gotten 1 chinese sit down dinner & exclusive pen while attending their investment talk. I guess if you don't invest, then no more free treats

Ambank Signature Banking: reserved parking in TTDI branch with good Lavazza coffee. Similar to Standard Chartered but gotten a few more meals too. They do give annual diaries.

For Penang:

OCBC best PB lounge, leng lui serving coffee. Free parking if can get one.

UOB outdated lounge. Fast service in PB as compared to normal banking area. Free coffee as usual.

CB, big PB lounge. Good service. Called to join free dinner for investment talks.

SCB called to give free dinner and wine tasting.

BR best in terms of Xclusive gifts. Good service.

AmBank RM said can give better fx and fd rates.

CIMB seems to have good investment products.

RHB, HL just getting no queue service, nothing special yet. Other than introductory gifts.

MBB was given Private Banking card. But never receive calls from RM and pulled out years ago. How about Klang Valley side ? They seemed to receive awards for their Private/Priority Banking service years ago. biggrin.gif
