Say if we abolish matrix, guess who will still dominate the number of people in STPM?

If the number of intake is majority from matrix, I also will be angry la. Meaning, I also agreed should either abolish matrix or increase the number of quota for nons to enter. Itu pun you failed to get my meaning.

The IPTA enrolment success rate of a pathway need to divide by its denominator

Matric success rate is > 90%
STPM success rate is only > 70%

The real issue lies in STPM having disadvantage in score distribution, in both academic & koko marks.

This is also not racial issue to begin with, here are the things to consider.
- The amount of nons are low from % of population perspective.
- M40/T40 nons usually will send their kids to private college / university.

Bumi are actually the majority in both STPM & matriculation. I hate to say, but there will be surely bumi with STPM 4.0 got left out due to this unfair situation.

Thanks for sharing the news. 16% of 40000 is about 6400 matriculation students with a 4.00 CGPA. That figure helps explain why Edward could only rank 1129 as it’s generally easier to achieve high scores in the matriculation programme as exams are marked by lecturers. Maxpudding’s claim that I “inflated” the numbers are totally inaccurate and biased.

It may also help explain why only 1–2% of STPM students gain admission into critical courses !
