I dont know if i exercise abit of otak capabilities pun i cant help to nak question ada mungkin 1 year wujud 1128 applicants for accounting course with perfect CGPA 4.0 + 10 marks curriculum that is better than 99.9 (hence ranked 1129).

More likely the case the the 1128 people are sums of all perfect score top scorer but good portion of it apply for Med, Lawyer, Pharmacies and other.

Then that 1129 is not the true picture but only to confuse simple minded people like TS. So if its real meritocracy, why can't show the real ranking in just accounting applicants only. Aku rasa lebih kepada manatukkasi la meritocracy konon.

In Edward’s case, the MOE has clarified that the 1127 candidates ranked ahead of him all achieved 100 full merit marks( with a 4.00 CGPA with maximum cocuriculum scores. There are only 1266 straight As STPM students in total and even if 10% of them applied for accountancy (which is very unlikely) that would still leave around 900–1000 matriculation students from the arts stream holding full merit marks.

It is also highly unlikely and almost impossible that science stream students with a perfect 4.00 CGPA would apply for accountancy. Edward himself is ranked 2nd among those with a 99.90 merit score, so his subject combination should not have been an issue for the ranking contrary to what TS claimed.

Your statistics not ngam la. You passed SPM level math or not?

Your assumption of 5k matrix students got 4.0 is pure bullshit. It’s more towards 3k. Itu pun belum campur kokum. You think every 4 pointer got 10 and managed to get top spots? Hahaha bangang

You kinda forget about engineering courses, matrix students also flock to that course whistling.gif so your bad statistics are not supported by what’s happening. Cukup la with this bad narrative. Makin lama makin tak cerdik ya.

Actually no quota is needed.

If we check from here:
https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2025...s-bayan-baru-mp

The real issue lies in STPM having disadvantage in score distribution, in both academic & koko marks.

This is also not racial issue to begin with, here are the things to consider.
- The amount of nons are low from % of population perspective.
- M40/T40 nons usually will send their kids to private college / university.

Bumi are actually the majority in both STPM & matriculation. I hate to say, but there will be surely bumi with STPM 4.0 got left out due to this unfair situation.  wink.gif

Thanks for sharing the news. 16% of 40000 is about 6400 matriculation students with a 4.00 CGPA. That figure helps explain why Edward could only rank 1129 as it’s generally easier to achieve high scores in the matriculation programme as exams are marked by lecturers. Maxpudding’s claim that I “inflated” the numbers are totally inaccurate and biased.

It may also help explain why only 1–2% of STPM students gain admission into critical courses !
