 Landlord want to increase rent, Apa pun increase, but salary still low

Greedy landlord.

If the tenant does not give the landlord any problems and always pay on time, I would choose to continue this relationship instead of being greedy.

I recommend you just leave. I hope this kind of landlord gets a bad tenant and knows what it feels like. There are things you can’t just view/measure from the money pov alone

Early last year, told my tenant rent going to increase 10% early this year. 12 months notice.

But still rebate 3% for prompt payment. He continued to rent.

Suka suka increase or got signed agreement? Agreement should state the time frame and increment amount, good landlord and tenant sure can negotiate.
If got signed then you already agreed.
If no sign lesson learnt next time make agreement.

The landlord always been mean to me, every time got things broken I settle myself cuz I know her pattern is will use it as excuse increase my rent, but she still drops the bomb anyway with this uninformed sudden visit just now. Say see me if Im still around. Of cuz Im still around la, I still pay rent every month all the time. Few months ago, the contractor that i hired to fix the door hinge got say certain area only RM1k or less, I didnt bother cuz I lazy keep moving around like nomad, but seems like I really need to find a place to move out anyway. I can tell the tenant want to get full RM1.7k rental from me anyway, already hinting so obvious. Btw, the RM1.7k I found is condo with full furnished, mine is not condo and no furnish at all

other questions to ask would be
1. do you pay your rent early every month
2. do you clear your utilities bill every month/when it came

all this will give u leverage to counter back her

She sendiri confident her area easy find people, even easy find people, cannot guarantee whether is good or bad tenant right?
1. always pay rent on 7th of the month
2. electric every month clear, water bill every 3 month clear too management, indah water every 6 months only pay cuz indah water always want me pay 1 year worth of bill, I stay til June only pay RM72, then wait until December end only pay remaining RM72

She knows one, but she want more

First year got sign agreement, after that I good record pay rental for many years then no more sign agreement le. I dun think my landlord is good tho

Deal with current problem. Forget about future for the time being.

When you old liao, then only think of the property. I will not go into details of it

Treat paying bank loan instalment as rental, then you won't have to worried. Since you also do maintenance of the rental property, why not do it for own property ?

reading through this thread... even negotiate to rm1.5k, the rm1.7k will be enforced in 2 years time...ts must decide, negotiate and expect increases , start at a new place or buy his own place... the latter will give the least headache (provided he has the money).. if he can pay rm1.5-1.7k per month, he can afford his own place..

Actually I quite old le, 42yo and if loan for 30 years ady 72, dunno I will lose job or not in between, really feeling insecure, unker all alone sometimes feel helpless but only can suck it up alone

R u a good tenant? If good can nego nego with landlord. Good tenants hard to find, u can easily nego for minimal increase.
