QUOTE(masamura @ Jun 3 2025, 11:25 AM) Cheaper and faster? malaysia style, morning go makan until 10am only come onsite, start work at 10:30am, then 12 noon makan, take rest, 2pm start work until 3pm tea time, 4pm start packing and leave LOLCan share contacts ah ? I know house reno by some contractors need to take 2-3 months even though everything need cash upfront. When I bought my house and did my reno, I was expecting my contractors to focus everyday at my house, but what I got is that they'll go missing a few days, then, come back do a bit and then go missing again. |

QUOTE(Drian @ Jun 3 2025, 11:28 AM) yes this is typical, because they do multiple projects at the same time , so do yours 1st week , 2nd week customer A, 3rd week customer C, 4th week Customer D, and then repeat. This because of the unfairly structured contract to the consumer become the standard With a proper contract, late projects delivery should be charged with LAD, contractor won't took more jobs than what can they deliver Proper contractor usually will charge more, consumer prefer cheaper price hence they got into these lousy contractor with more hidden cost in the long run This post has been edited by Imp Bron: Jun 3 2025, 11:49 AM Penamer liked this post

One time i caught a pakistani using a wire that is super thin for ac wiring, scold him kao ,and got a local wireman to redo. Even local wireman geleng kepala looking at the wiringWhat is so hard to use, you can even verify yourself or buy yourself if you don't believe. |

I knew there were a large group of renovation contractor from Vietnam.
They can beat local contractor by 30%~50% lower in quotation. It's not a news anymore. |

I don't deny some workers never put in effort to improve their skills.
Wet cement - forever only knew how to do brick & plaster. Tiler - forever just want to do tiling. I came across a group of vietnamese who could sapu electrical, water piping, cement, tiling, iron works, all by themselves. |
