Ah~ Pretty negative minded, aren't you ^__^

Well put it this way, how beautiful the world is depends on how you choose to look at it. If you look at it sadly, then you will feel like the world is a sad place. Don't think much about things you cannot control. Do what you can do, which is to live your life to the fullest. You might think those people are irrational, but hey, they might think you are the same too ^__^ After all, it is not us who lived in their life, who are we to dictates if they are rational or not? wink.gif

QUOTE(fujkenasai @ Mar 3 2008, 06:58 PM)
Youngsters these days especially boys do not give much thought to stuff and events that are happening around them, they just do what they want without thinking about the consequences. I wonder if its our education systems, society, parents, media, games, or all together. Look at the activities that kids these age groups are involved in, dota, mmorpgs, fps. How many of them play chess, sports or read a book. Maybe lives these days are too artificial every thing on screen, even movies that have more thoughts involved are not that popular. >_<

*
Youngsters these days? How old are you ah... tongue.gif

And why can one not do both? I play DotA and mmorpgs. Pretty often, in fact. But I also probably read about 10x more books than the average Malaysian (2 a year wtf?). I used to play tourney Scrabble when I was 15. Qualified for YouthQuake membership (turned it down cause I couldn't go for the required camp). Sports... too bad lah that one. >_>

Just saying, don't discriminate against those who do play video games, it really isn't as 'unhealthy' an activity as you think. smile.gif

I dislike flame bait like you guys always did in Kopitiam. Thats why I don't even bother to step into there much unless I find it amusing to read and laugh on those poster stupidity/idiotic comments. Also, I don't actually spam much in this thread. Is more like I only reply to most of the poster here while try to keep this thread cheerful place to be. Making a place for all people that feel much more belonging and comfortable is harder than making a place full of hate and anger.

rayanne>Like I said, MOST post in kopitiam are consider spam and furthermore, hostility are everywhere like it or not.

If a person couldn't do so, he/she pretty much wasting their life on doing nothing. Everything is all about balance.

misao> chill down girl. I think fujkenasai doesn't really meant to offend you. Is just a thought that came across her mind that she wish to express on this local community nowadays.

feyhime> Sometimes we just need to close one eye why living in this kind of world.

Yukirin> I find it easier to live in this world if we quit being overly judgemental and thinks that the world should come to meet with our personal requirements. Like it or not, we are not the only thing alive on this Earth, there's trillions of other humans and living beings around. The world will not cater to you alone. It caters everyone's need. Closing an eye, IMHO is just a way to tone down discrimination against people you consider unworthy of existence. (No offence to you of course) It's like a better way to tell people "Oh you sucks and makes my life miserable, but oh, it's fine, I don't see you in my scope of view so continue with whatever you are doing while I curse you silently in my brain.".

fujkenasai> Ah yes, I watched and read Ouran. I also play games of all sorts and reads all kind of books. Pretty much the same as people you mentioned earlier, only I choose to balance my life more. How old are you btw? You sounded like you have yet to venture into a bigger community (again no offence to you).

I'm more to a flexible person, which will adapt to different personality depends on situation, that's why i do flame and be nice at certain time biggrin.gif, you are more like ignoring people who you don't like, that why u din't want to involve yourselves in kopitiam, i go there to advice people as well not only just to entertain myself, actually this thread is already peaceful enough there no need to make it more peaceful lulz, see the problem ? people in this world tend to help people who are good in all ways, it's actually people who are bad need more help than those who are good, cheers happy.gif

feyhime> Well, my "closing one eye" is more like I let you be as long as you don't affect me too much / you scratch my back I scratch your. What people do/does is up to them and them alone.

If people ever work under me, I tend to be more flexible for them. If they accidentally did a mistake unknowing, I will just let them realize their mistake instead of come to conclusion that that are unworthy being. However, if the mistake which cause a huge lost to the company, I would say to them "sorry ya, your mistake is unfavorable and you know whats coming to you"

Reason why I state this ? Because I happen to know that the Cabury Chocolate CEO throw a thick book at the consultant face when that consultant did a mistake that cause him 3 million dollar lost in that day by miscalculate the logic in his implementation.

ya and you happen to be the kind soul who are kind enough to help those bad one all the time ya ? yeah right.

There are so many reason why I don't bother to help those kind of people unless they themselves proven otherwise to me. You may say I ignoring people I don't like, well that's half true but think about it, why would I need to involve myself with much more problems while IRL you already have problem on your own. Kopitiam threads means nothing to me, it just another entertainment for me. Take it serious, then you're digging your own grave. That one darn good reason for me to keep my involvement low i kopitiam.

I've always keep my way simple in Net World, Respect whoever you are chatting with. If I don't like poster comment, I have 2 choice, IGNORE Button or REPLY Button. If Reply, I'll keep the low that where it doesn't sound like flamming instead of just plain straight insults and foul mouthing. Jokes are fine but lines need to be drawn, Opinions are good as long as you provide a valid reason.

Yukirin> What a nice boss you are tongue.gif For me, if my sub-ordinates make mistakes, then they have to amend and correct it within the time frame I can give them, otherwise, it's the boot for them. I don't need people who are inefficient. I can tolerate small mistakes, but I cannot tolerate people who make no effort to correct those mistakes. Even if I have to help them in the course of making those amendments (it can't be help sometimes), I'll expect them to do their best.

I don't believe in helping people improves. It's your life, if you have no will and make no effort to improve yourself, then it's your own problem. Advising can only do so much. Everyone has enough troubles on their own, do them a favour and take care of your own.

feyhime> Well, if the worker totally inefficient, then I'll ask them prepare their boxes to carry their stuff. Small mistake which doesn't cause much of issue I'll let them be. However, any mistake that cause my customer problems, then they really do need to amend it and make sure they put their effort in it. If case like the Cabury Chocolate company, I would really kill that consultant by suing him in court.

To run a company was never easy. I do understand my boss but sometime high expectation cause employee to discouraged which in lead of high resignation rate in the company. Forming a good relationship bond between employee and employer are never a simple task and also depending on what field you're in.

Yukirin> Ehehe~ Unfortunately my line of work deals heavily with deadlines so being a nice caring boss is almost always suicide. You either become strict and get the work done and spare everyone from the big boss fury or you be nice and everyone get to taste the big boss flame together-gether, which is almost the same as getting fired. Which is why after work session is important! That's when we get to release stress and relate to each other XD Work is work, personal life is personal life. Thank goodness my boss is nice and outgoing when he's not working!

Im not discriminating against video gamers, in fact I play alot of PC games too, to the extend I wanna keep myself away from it so that I can do the things I want. Its just that these days in Cyber cafes, there are just so much swearing and violence that I despise, that makes me feel that those people do not think before they take action. There is even this youtube clip being uploaded by these primary kids hitting a junior, because the junior caused them to loose a dota match. That makes me look down on people like those. Of course Im not saying that all dota players and mmorpg players are like that, but the one that I have in contact with in cyber cafes are. sad.gif

I hope you do not feel offended or anything as Im not targeting anyone in specific just people in general.

btw if you do not mind me asking, are you from misao from comicfiesta a friend of nightcat, 2uni and gang?

Ahh so thats what 猫都市means I was wondering what neko toshi is about.

I guess Im not condemning gamers who spend lots of time on game as Im one of them sadly, ofcourse there should be a balance in life, but what Im saying is that the attitude of people behaving in games. Being snobbish, using abusive languages, expressing violence towards other gamers.

Wow I see you play Warhammer 40k, is it the mmo or the RTS? I used to play alot of DOW40k Winter Assault, Dark Crusade. Now Im looking forward to Sould Storm.

fujkenasai> I like warhammer40k but I'm darn weak when vs real player. In Kuching, I highly doubt there are much of Warhammer40k player. Furthermore, CC in kuching doesn't install it as well. Most the time I play in my local CC(Gizmo Gamer...wohooo now they have 2 floors :droll:) are CS1.6 and Unreal Tournament 3(I use the CD-KEY on their program then when their PC restart, the CD KEY gone as well =p)

Warhammer that I've know have 2 types, RTS style like (which has been ages since 1980's ?) and MMO style (Warhammer Online which is still under development). I not sure Warhammer40k FireSquad( not sure about the name) is a RTS or Tactical Squad Base.

No, no, I didn't take offense, really. Was just putting forth my opinion to liven up the discussion further. wink.gif

My nickname is based on an anime character, but I'm not really active in the comic fiesta stuff. I do know a lot of people who are and attended quite a few, though. Hilarious stuff, especially their performances. xD
