Membership Reward point actually is a good thing, it actually can count as point and also use for cash rebate, if i not mistaken last time got informed that 200 MR = RM 1 rebate, so it is flexible for those who don't want to struggle what thing to redeem when they have lots of points.

Guys, do you notice Amex has increased the points required for gift redemption? For cash rebate conversion, it is now RM1 = 200MR compared to 190MR last time. Further, RM50 voucher = 11000MR.

If we compare the value of RM50 between cash rebate and voucher, it is definitely better to redeem cash rebate @10000MR as opposed to voucher @11000MR.

Maybe the extra 1000 MR is meant for postage/courier fee.

Inflation, actually. smile.gif Anyway, it's still lower than other banks (except CIMB) that require at least 12000 points for RM50 voucher.

Alternatively, you can redeem Borders RM200 vouchers which require only 35,000MR points smile.gif

It is valid as long as your AMEX Gold credit card account is active.

I can’t figure out why Amex/MBB takes so long to calculate the missing points. It is just a simple mathematics.

As Amex has now associated with MBB, the service can be EXPECTED. I’ve also called up MBB today pertaining to my Amex cc application status. To my surprise, the CS staff mentioned that there was no application from me as the application was not even shown in the computer, even though I told him that an MBB branch submitted my application to the centre last Monday. He suggested me to call again next week. doh.gif

Yes, I keep track of all my CC expenses in individual excel worksheet. I record down the posting date, transaction date, description, local amount, foreign amount, the points (actual & adjusted) and my own comments (e.g. 6x)
sweat.gif

I know how much I have swiped for each card for each month, year, grand total. Also outstanding amount and balance CL for installment purchases. sweat.gif Then I know how much points I earn from each transaction and I can do filter/grouping on e.g. petrol or grocery purchases. Kiasu or not ? rolleyes.gif

Then I verify with online banking transaction whenever I online to tally it. sweat.gif

Agree. My excel worksheet works better than their legacy system.

For CC form submission, I suggest to fax in. Else, I suggest to goto actual CC counter in banking hall at big ones like KL Main.

Agreed ! Should have credited into our account straight from the day we charged to our AMEX. Less problematic this way. They are not efficient at all ! shakehead.gif
