pentax is kinda toy-ish also
the built of the camera and lenses are kinda cheapo.
thats why i dont really like this camera. but to be honest, it gives good quality though.

depends on u. for me, the feel i get when i am handling the camera is important too... if not i wont be able to take pics. hahaa

internal flash...don think will overheat just that the flash recycle will get slower and slower once it gets heated up... focusing problem is because the flash not yet ready...so much wait... thats what you get when you click too fast... smile.gif

i also was shooting like crazy that time..and i shoot shoot shoot my focusing delay and delay longer...i tot my cam gonna rosak edi..then i realise that the flash needs to recycle doh.gif

help help....
any d40 user owned a 70300vr?

i just got 1, i found that i cant take sharp image with it.
ppl said the image will be soft after 200mm. i found that it soft until blur (even with tripod)

but the sharpness 70-200 range, i still not statisfy. i found that it softer than kit lens.

any guides can help me use this70300?

bro..
when using tripod...
off the VR...
also...
learn 'the good handholding technique'...
if that is still a problem...maybe there's a focusing problem n ur lens...
test ur lens focusing with some test...to determine maybe front / back focus...
if there's a problem...send to NSC for recalibration....=)

If you already have 18-55mm kit lens, why still consider 18-70mm which overlap the range? Get the 55-200mmVR instead if you want more tele. Just my 2cents! icon_rolleyes.gif

2nd hand 70-200 for under 500-1k? I think xandman is refering to the 70-200mm f/2.8 VR and a 2nd hand unit will cost about 5k. sweat.gif

if u sell off ur 18-55 then i guess it's ok...
if not...juz get ur self a tele...juz like pac1 suggest...
btw...
the built of 18-70 is better than 18-55...it has metal mount and if i m not mistaken...ade rubber seal to protect from dust n water...
