WTA, does the small tripod can hold the d40? cos sometimes wan to place the camera low and the big tripod isn't helping. Too high..

Do u guys know any prime lens that is less than rm400? +AF
wanna use it for portrait shots. Tried my frens 50mm f/1.8, the colors were really sharp. Also wanna ask, smaller f-value (big aperture) can get more DOF?  Me still noob. |
