it was rather limiting...
but back then...i had to make use of what i had only...
so it's more of accomadating shooting style with my equipment..
but now...=)
it's totally different story!
with 51 AF points!

Most of the time I just use the center AF point and then AF lock it and recompose the frame, so I think more or less AF points dun really matters to me. laugh.gif

More focus points are useful for fast pacing objects like in sports or racing. Other than that I think 3 focus is more than enough.

when ifirst used i also tot that it was quite troublesome not able to focus properly with 3 af point...then after using it a while i think its really not much problem... just move your af point to the object yo wanna focus and while pressing halfway, recompose your pic and press down...voala!! biggrin.gif

Do u guys know any prime lens that is less than rm400? +AF

wanna use it for portrait shots. Tried my frens 50mm f/1.8, the colors were really sharp.

Also wanna ask, smaller f-value (big aperture) can get more DOF?
tongue.gif Me still noob.

No prime lens with AF-S or HSM at price less than RM400!
Check the first page of this thread for prime lenses compatible with D40/D40x. icon_rolleyes.gif

Small f-value (big aperture) = less DOF = less things in focus
Big f-value (small aperture) = more DOF = more things in focus

the cheapest nikkor prime would be the 105 VR...at 2.6k...
u wouldnt want to know the other nikkor primes...

but for third party...i m not so sure...i think sigma has the 30mm f1.4...

Added on December 28, 2007, 12:34 pmone more thing...
if u r into portrait...i'd say the 105 VR is good...=)
