You never been in a painful accident before? An accident that you are aware of right before it hits you? Its the shock + adrenaline. Once that wear off the pain will come. Happened to me once fell down from my bicycle and scrapped my knee badly. I didnt even know or feel a piece of meat dangle at my leg until i reached a nearby clinic. And of course i cycled there.
Any recommended full face modular helmet for daily use?
The most affordable SHARP 4 star modular helmet is LS2 FF370. Modular helmets rarely get SHARP 5 stars, but SHARP has been very slow in conducting new tests in the past few years.
I think LS2 has a few modular helmets that meet the new ECE 22.06 standard (check their Facebook page), but the price is around RM1000.
FF370 meets the old ECE 22.05 standard.

/k/tard mentioned before, there is a whole thread before this
wearing full face or any kind of protection = you're labelled as gay/weak/strawberry
this is what happened when you prioritize being called weak over actual safety
Strawberry lost his face.

I saw a lot more people in Thailand wearing full face compared with Malaysia. Don't know why Malaysian people so allergic to wearing to full face.
Meanwhile in Vietnam, their helmets can't even pass SIRIM standard because it's just a stupid sheet of plastic with no foam.
1) FF helmets should be more expensive than open face type. Judging by the quality and conditions of helmets of moto riders I see otr, people don't bother to invest in better helmets, let alone FF type. Heck, I even see people still using the MS brand helmet (very common 30-40 years ago).
2) more difficult to put on, especially if you're wearing glasses
3) feels warmer, especially if you're not travelling very fast as the air vents don't work well at low speeds.
4) kena teased, especially when you're riding small bikes.

2. Flip up modular helmet easier to wear with glasses, it's like open face when the chin bar is flipped up. But sacrifice some safety.
3. I open my visor at low speeds for better ventilation.
4. Dumbfuck mentality. Now this guy will be teased his whole life for his fucked up face.

full face helmet is important i make it a point tht even if i ride motor out 5min away to tapao food also i will put on my proper jacket wit protection armor in it punya
probably didnt wear helmet properly and face skid through the road
Open face helmet will never protect the face. So many videos shared in WhatsApp groups, when accident very likely to fall on the face. The dumbest part is so many idiots didn't buckle their helmet properly, then when accident the helmet goes flying.

I cracked open the visor too during low speed riding.
Another disadvantage of ff helmets is it doesn't shield the morning/evening sun well.
Bro... Get a helmet with sun visor. Sun visor very common these days.

Thanks for the recommendation.
Gonna look for a ls2 modular helmet. Currently using givi open face.
I keep my full face for weekend rides or night rides only when it's cooler. Wearing glasses and wearing FF is truly annoying, especially when you're rushing to work.

Tatau. I had 2 Shoei FF, both did not come with visors. It was at least 25 years ago, and I didn't see any FF helmets from reputable brands that came with a sun visor.

Macha you wear glasses too ah? You drive car so ganas I thought you are macha gangster who doesn't wear glasses.
Modern full face usually designed with gaps in the foam for inserting glasses.

That's a very long time ago. Back then full face helmets rarely have air vents deswai old timers have the mentality that full face helmets are too warm.
Nowadays got LS2 (Chinese) and HJC (Korean) for budget segment. Both brands meet ECE standards and they have riders in MotoGP.
Shoei, AGV, etc nowadays oso have sun visor.
Don't keep your helmets for so many decades la. The foam degraded already. Not safe anymore.

U see here motorcycle all alergic at traffic lights. Red, orange mean go for them. When accident happened in front of them, they will scared for 10 minutes only.

A helmet is supposed to be disposed of after 5 years, or after getting a heavy knock.
I don't ride anymore. Left them both near garbage collection point for those who needed them, and they were gone in an instant.

I cannot believe ayam too pandan to view it after reading all the descriptions here. As a St0rmFury fansy, ini kemaluan besar.
Considering... Just worried about the risks and recovery.
How about Nolan helmets? Or shark modular?
Check the SHARP or ECE rating bro. Don't buy based on Brand. Popular brands like Shoei sometimes produce 3 star SHARP helmets.
Also check with the seller about the manufacturing date. I was very keen on Caberg modular helmet because got SHARP 5 stars, but then I read the reviews on Lazada and Shopee, people said very old stock the foam reput already.
The cool thing about SHARP is they tell you how many percent of the time the chin bar (for modular helmet) failed during testing.

One time wake up in hospital didn't know what happened. Fractured bones only no visible wounds. So didn't know if was feeling the or not after math of the accident
Ok no more future ledi. Ride bike w/o license is one thing. Those young people ride bike doesn't know what is brake. See car gostan still can pass through. They think the road belongnto them.
I once accidentally cut my finger with broken umbrella the blood comes out quite fast that my body suddenly feels heaty snd slightly pening, but it wouldnt feel painful right away

same as bike helmet... if you hit it during a crash or drop it heavily, you are suppose to replace it
last time ride kap chai, I use this type of helmet, the visor offer some sort of protection.
My fren got and old one and he went and test by smashing, wondering would the visor break and cut the head off during an accident if you hit the ground but couldnt really crack/damage the visor other then scratching the hell out of it.

The visor will not protect your jaw la...
As seen in this case, the visor only helped him to "kutip" his jaw.

this full visor sort of shield your face if you land on the floor and not scrape your face off compare to those half visors.
That face shield might not be able to withstand the impact. Silap haribulan the broken piece may instead cut your carotid artery and you'll bleed to death.
no need to compared what helmet type each countries. i use to ride moto for 30y in M'sia & Sg. now i riding moto in Manila & Mindanao, those kampung pekan area, people ride moto slow & the riding cuture is different. my scooter barely hit 40Km/h, and so for others. we use horn at junction and overtaking. in Malaysia & SG, people ride like LJ

Ripped off face = cheaper than full face helmet /logic
Its not about money but mindset around personal safety. Malaysia kononnya more developed and smarter than neighbours but mindset and priorities really topkek

They aren't tinted? I see pics some look darker as though tinted.

Malaysian people have a fatalistic mindset. If die means fated. Deswai no need to wear helmet upstairs or downstairs. Benda nak jadi.
Nowadays helmets have double visors like this. If you wear only 1 tinted visor, you have less visibility at night or when you enter tunnels.
Honestly never seen this type before even in videos. Only seen 1 layer visor that's either clear, black or reflective (from outside view)
Always wondered those fully black ones how they see at night in dark areas
You mean MotoGP riders?
Race helmets don't use double visors. Putting a 2nd visor in the helmet creates a vulnerable spot actually. Then the manufacturer needs to reinforce the foam in that area.
MotoGP riders usually use 1 tinted visor because they race in well lit conditions. And nowadays they have layers of plastic on their visor that they can pull off when it gets too dirty.
First time i dare not click on a spoiler. Must be getting too old for gore.
You seen before that video, the kid jump off a cliff then smash his face on the edge of the concrete below, then the sea turn red and next video they show his face split in half?
This Malaysian version is, the kid has a huge hole in his face, his nose and upper jaw is missing, his visor managed to "scoop" it up.

No. Everyday or TikTok/IG riders. Even a couple of friends' helmets shown in IG when they go for weekend rides around Pahang etc.
Ooh interesting thing about the layer of plastic. I assume it is easy to pull off in emergencies?

Penang kid pretty close.
Plastic tear off like in this video. But the visor itself is designed to be easily removable.
