/k/tard mentioned before, there is a whole thread before this

wearing full face or any kind of protection = you're labelled as gay/weak/strawberry

this is what happened when you prioritize being called weak over actual safety

I saw a lot more people in Thailand wearing full face compared with Malaysia. Don't know why Malaysian people so allergic to wearing to full face.

Meanwhile in Vietnam, their helmets can't even pass SIRIM standard because it's just a stupid sheet of plastic with no foam.

Ripped off face = cheaper than full face helmet
/logic

Its not about money but mindset around personal safety. Malaysia kononnya more developed and smarter than neighbours but mindset and priorities really topkek

I cracked open the visor too during low speed riding.

Another disadvantage of ff helmets is it doesn't shield the morning/evening sun well.

They aren't tinted? I see pics some look darker as though tinted.

Nowadays helmets have double visors like this. If you wear only 1 tinted visor, you have less visibility at night or when you enter tunnels.

Honestly never seen this type before even in videos. Only seen 1 layer visor that's either clear, black or reflective (from outside view)

Always wondered those fully black ones how they see at night in dark areas

You mean MotoGP riders?

Race helmets don't use double visors. Putting a 2nd visor in the helmet creates a vulnerable spot actually. Then the manufacturer needs to reinforce the foam in that area.

MotoGP riders usually use 1 tinted visor because they race in well lit conditions. And nowadays they have layers of plastic on their visor that they can pull off when it gets too dirty.

No. Everyday or TikTok/IG riders. Even a couple of friends' helmets shown in IG when they go for weekend rides around Pahang etc.

Ooh interesting thing about the layer of plastic. I assume it is easy to pull off in emergencies?

You seen before that video, the kid jump off a cliff then smash his face on the edge of the concrete below, then the sea turn red and next video they show his face split in half?

This Malaysian version is, the kid has a huge hole in his face, his nose and upper jaw is missing, his visor managed to "scoop" it up.

Ah predator guy is hall of legends tier. This Penang kid not even close.

Ah well... Malaysian people don't even wear full face helmets.

Penang kid pretty close.

Plastic tear off like in this video. But the visor itself is designed to be easily removable.

Ah ok. Now I remember seeing this type and I was thinking of mud situations also.
