I am sorry that Chef Wan kena game by earth prince contractor.

He should have tender out the project, get at least 2 quotes or 3 if the price is above 500K. His intention to 'tolong' put him at a disadvantage and is a lesson to be learnt not only by him but anyone else.

Best be neutral and fair from the get go. No need to have preference or give job to 'tolong' or give to friend.

I just reno a whole 3 storey, from wire/piping and everything from scratch including changes on stair as it is a house almost 40+ already. 380K only including electronic equipment.
Furniture i move from old house so it save abit.

My case renno was very simple..maybe 50K - 70K...If get a consultant, jacked up to 90K ...so makes no sense to get a consultant...was simple and straightforward..anyone can also manage using common sense...

not everyone is capable of managing. say a woman with no experience whatsoever, i would advise them to get a consultant.
later contractor do work will bully the woman by giving lots of excuse and delay the work. and of course sign contract document as proof then if anything happen can go court claim.

AFAIK chef wan is no racist. But for anyone looking for contractors, make sure they have CIDB certification/permit/license/accreditation

Agreed..If you are a lady, it is better to get a consultant or ID to manage it for you...

Is understandable they have experience end user/commercial/industry style punya , their gaji is expensive, example shopping center or office renovation either at night/after working hour they only give you one week in some office area they don't have month to complete, first few days they deploy 30 to 40ppl if all the preparation is done probably, you see them work and watch with your own eye no shortcut/straight forward very satisfied experience tengok also feel seronok/entertain 😂

Don't know lah maybe since young i already interested this sort of thing always like to see them doing from start to end, mechanic lah, cooking lah, renovation lah etc etc is feel so curing even got one time renovation abang tell me adik pergi lah main jangan lah nanti dah dewasa tak ada masa nak main 😂
