People need to realize bad guy exist everywhere regardless of race.

The difference here is, same type condemn same type. If it happens to everyone, no one would talk about it. But a celeb was in it. So people will talk about it.

B40 here. What kind of reno can you expect from a 400k cost? Assuming starting from scratch.

RM400K can do quite a lot for renovation in most of regular double storey house around klang valley even today. So long you do not opt for fancy materials and expensive designs. Usually replace all of roofing and ceiling. Change flooring. Erecting/ demolish new rooms and/or lavatory. Change dimensions of gates and even change type of doors. Thats the standard thing.

But Chef Wan's house is like a typical own land kampung bangalow lot house. Assuming he is refreshing some parts and changing some parts, RM 400K can also do much excluding furnishing.

Kelantan people pay a lot less to rebuild their kampung house with similar dimensions. Few years ago i asked they say back in their hometown can renovate bungalow for RM70K to RM120K. But have to pay cash only.

But nowdays every renovation has main problem that is labour. Hard to find workers. Even my neighbour renovation stalled more than 3 months because no workers and just restarted recently.

This is quite true. My wife's relative is in renovation industry. Really hard to get labour now. Government regulation also make it challenging in recent years.
Plus cost of materials and labour has all went up.
