Hi there,
My colleague is going to japan next month and he is in the midst of applying the visa. Suprisingly he told us that he have to provide marriage cert, birth cert, employment letter to Japan embassy. Does that apply to you all too? He was also been required to provide a slip of RM35k of fixed deposit in Malaysia. why so? can anyone pls share your experience with me? thanks! |

He was also been required to provide a slip of RM35k of fixed deposit in Malaysia. why so? can anyone pls share your experience with me? thanks! 1. an invitation letter (i was visiting my brother) from relative there (together with their alien IC/passport copy). if no relative then have to state your purpose in a letter i guess. or company letter for your business trip. 2. company letter that states i am an employee (they don't want you to go there unemployed and looking for jobs on visiting visa). 3. copy of bank account/latest credit card bill that has more than RM8k balance. trust fund account also can. 4. copy of flight information. e-tix or the ticket itself. 5. copy IC/birth certs/marriege certs. IC is enough if you're not married (i dont remember). 6. copy of hotel/accommodation information if any. 7. passport. i'll update the list if i remember anything else. it's a chore to provide them with all that. but when i arrived, it was all worth it. japan treated me well. really dont mind doing it all over again. hehe |

QUOTE(Sweet @ Dec 5 2007, 02:38 PM) Hi there, i think malaysian is the second highest (few years back) who working illegally in Japan. The japan custom check the detail of every malaysian when they wanna enter japan, if they can shows the deposit, that's mean he/she is consider above average in income and they are not going for "jump aeroplane" My colleague is going to japan next month and he is in the midst of applying the visa. i went to Japan embassy yesterday at Jalan Tun Abdul Razak.Very easy and fast.I just need to provide :-
1-A passport 2-Photocopy of picture size passport 3-company letter 3-Airlines ticket 5-staff id That's it.Can take it after 3 days By da way,if im using credit card there,is it same like Malaysia.I mean just swipe the card and sign.Unlike Amsterdam, its quite different there. They ask 4 digit pin number. So,everytime u want to buy something with your credit card, then therewill have a small machine on the counter that you have to put your 4 digit code number. Anyone try using credit card at Japan before? |

Yep, entrance is free.Hey firedauz,in Japan, they have 1day ticket for train?I read a book about Travel To Japan and it only stated for 1Week pass and damn expensive.Around 20000 Yen..Phew.Rather take a bike to go around Tokyo. And what about the train? What time they close? How about if i go out night and is there will be any transport other than train??Maybe bus but not taxi Added on December 9, 2007, 9:02 pmAnd how's the temp in Jpana now?really cold?Need some advice 2. Yep, there is, its called the Seishun Juhachi Kippu --> http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2362.html It costs 11,500 Yen, and yeah, its start selling today 3. Train starts at 5am in the morning, close at 12am at midnight. 4. Bus are available but I'm not sure what time they stop (because I rarely take bus, I always take train), but taxi are always around. 5. Its around 20 degree Celcius in daytime, and up to 6 degree Celcius at night. Pretty much cold if you ask me |

Yep, entrance is free. the 20,000 yen pass is Japan Pass not Seishun 18. Japan Pass is for tourists ONLY and it's pretty reasonable if u're traveling between cities. you can use shinkansens(up to hikari) so it's pretty reasonable if u're traveling from tokyo to osaka to hiroshima maybe..( tokyo osaka is 10,000yen one way) if u're in tokyo only, take a subway day pas for only 1000yen or less a day. trains end at 1am maybe starts at 5? so if u miss d train, can always lepak before u go back but another after 1am is clubbing/xxx/manga shops/round 1/bars/etc...2.
