tuna fish auction i no plan to go dy cos ppl start que at 3am-430am , too early, taxi gonna be very expensive
then i saw the wholesale market is open around 9 for public
n then i read about alot ppl go que at the sushi there starting from 6am, sometimes need to wait 3 hours baru can eat

pls kasi some tips on this

willer express only allowed advance booking so u shud make online booking and confirm ur date first..if later u want to change date i think still possible but still got certain day before departure u already cannot change ur reservation..read the rule first before u booking..

kinda urgent question
my fren booked hotel from agoda.com for 3 nights at kyoto
2 rooms, so total is about rm2.2k
he key in the credit card details, and he got charged full payment within 10 mins
is this normal?

i tot normally hotel booking will only asked for deposite for booking and until u are there to stay then only u need to make full payment

Agoda & most booking websites all required full pyt upon confirmation lor and yes almost immediate haha.. You should be receiving the detail booking itineraries within 10min too or the longest ~ 30-1 hr

Haha need so detailed? I'm only planning to makan breakfast there, auction is too early as everyone said. What to do.. My first trip to Tokyo, just an overview tour. XD



@Ah WanG - I've booked through Hostelbookers before they only charge 10% deposit. This time I tried booking.com which charge nothing - only required to pay when you check-in.

You miss the perfect timing...you miss the Tuna acution and the Sushi Dai perfect time. Means you have to Q very very long hour.

Yes, it is good but not to book to early lor..otherwise, you let them enjoying your advance money.

I always book hotel online & paid in advance to avoid bringing too much cash oversea.

LOL...I know that hotel. Why it so expensive because the Location are very very famous in Kyoto. That placed was Kyoto Ryokan // Hotel Street. One street got 20 hotel all together.


About 2nd question. Yes. ALL train under JR company are free if using JR Rail Pass. Not only JR Tokyo. WHole JR East , JR Center , JR Kansai , JR West all are free if you got JR rail Pass.

nov peak season wo.. many ppl go to see maple leaf at kyoto.. sked no book then need to sleep at the street liao

at first i tot i can only use jr pass for Yamanote Line.. then the rest need to use metro subway line.. now at least i know i can use jr pass on more places dy

Travelled to Kyoto last Christmas and stayed in Citadines Kyoto. Walking distance from Kyoto Station (or just one metro stop from it). Nice place and it's by Ascott group. Even on peak season, I got it for 9000 yen per night.

Location is very good because near Kyoto Station and Shopping district. (Modern one).

Like those Asakusa Line are Toei Company...JR Rail Pass cannot used in that line.
Tokyo also got another famous line are Oedo Line. JR Rail Pass cannot used also. This Oedo Line are the one for going to Tsukiji Market.

i will be going to japan on 20 apr i think i will arrive late around 10 pm on osaka airport and my worry are

1)can i catch a train to kyoto on that time ?

2)the jr pass can i buy there or buy in malaysia better

3)is it easy to catch transportation there?

WHich Airport you going to Arrived you also DOn't Know..... Osaka Airport? Are you really sure? Taking AAX from Malaysia arrive Kansai are not Osaka AIrport . Do the Homework First.

1) First you didn't do your homework.
2) you also didn't do your homework....BTW i can told you JR rail pass cannot get from Japan.
3) Come is Japan. Japan transport are world no 1.

BTW most important are Apr 28 until May 6 are Japan Golden Holiday..... I know you been there at APr 20..if you stay more than 2 weeks...yo will faced the Golden Holiday problem.
