what is the reason to have oversized panel to inverter?

is it because the panel wont achieve the max 605w or 610w?

It is all down to cost. why spent the extra money 20% to support the max which is only achievable in less than 1% of the time?

does pushing the inverter to work at max output daily during peak sun hour due to oversizing will shorten its lifespan?

Well there is a 10 years warranty, so I don't think it matters if it fails
Besides, the inverter is built in with so many smart fail safe live over current, over voltage, over heat protection. So it is unlikely it operate at a capacity that it is not intended for
But from my system, it hardly hit the maximum once even for a month at overloading of about 1.2 and it is operating for only 30 mins or less... So no need to dwell too much into it. The general installation guide of inverter also support the same cliam

3.7mwh generated. Should be more due to router issue mid Nov to mid Dec no data recorded.

Thinking to switch to BEV car soon since solar is generating more that what we used every month.

If you want to save costs I can offer you my panels 11.75 kWp total - Canadian Solar 250 W, 47 panels. I am planning to get new ones cause under FiT. Performance is still good around 85-90% production with high peak performance. But since under FiT want to get the max. ROI on my contract. Message me if interested. Can give you a good deal.

Mind asking what does the Solar Insurance cover?

I signed up 8kwh package at the Setia City CC Home Expo last month, 14 JA panels, Solargrow inverter, for 22.5k. Now awaiting SEDA approval. I don't think it comes with Solar Insurance.
