Hi all, as of Jan 2025, for long-term savings ( just put money in every month and don't bother ), currently is Rize still better than GX / Boost ?
*
me doing with rize

because:

1) easier to use rize to do transfer to other banks/credit cards, etc ... albeit the newer app a bit slow when loading mad.gif

2) savings rate is ok, difference with other digibank is not much for my savings, which fluctuate every few days anyway.

Rize and other digital are not suitable for long term don't bother thinking about it savings. Because guaranteed sometime soon they will change the interest rate, if you really don't bother and leave it there you will lose out. Long term don't bother is just ASB (if bumi, otherwise ASM), EPF, and cycling FD. No need to think.

You may also want to explore KDI Save, it gives 4% for up to 50k. It is not an FD but is flexible enough and you can take out your fund anytime, just leave yourself 3 - 5 days of processing.

I get that but other than putting it there long term and every month deposit a fix amount, I also want to be able to withdraw any amount i may need at any time, so any other better options ?

ASM/ASB can withdraw over the counter.... or small amount (I think 1k) through app.

Liquidity is always inversely correlated with returns for obvious reasons. Only the 'promo' or 'burn money' phase of new product bucks that trend.

Ok thanks.

But it's pretty poor timing by Rize.

Banks normally schedule on off-peak hours e.g. late at night, or early morning, no?

That's a scary thot sweat.gif wink.gif

All the other Rize maintenance listed are off-peak. This one is special. Maybe they want to test systems at peak time as well?

BoostBank to Rize has problems. Money out of BoostBank but not received on Rize's side.

GX Bank to Rize ok, Rize to GX Bank ok.
